CBC says it’s broke again and laying off staff.

This after they paid $99 million in bonuses to incompetent executives & Liberal talking heads.

I’ll bet none of Trudeau’s favourite mouthpieces will be let go—they’ll get more bonuses.

From the CBC site itself, Catherine Tait,
https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/cbc-ra ... -1.7048530
When asked if the corporation would drop bonuses given the job cuts, Tait said "it's too early to say."
Disgusting.
They just don't get it.

There are people unable to heat their homes, buy food and these idiots, liberals, might as well call it for what it is, get away with this. Every so called liberal supporter does one thing whey continually seeing this stuff, ignore it. Great politically party ya got there.

"Go woke go broke" - but don't let the millions of examples be a lesson to ya CBC. Disney called, they want to know how to tap into these rivers of Liberal pay-off cash...
We need to stop continuously saying that Canada is moving toward fascism and just admit that under the Carney Liberals we are already there.

Well worth the 2 minutes

CBC is my go-to in my car and at my desk at work, the only other option in Penticton being country/western. I don't mind occasional doses of C&W but it gets to be too much pretty quick.

Does CBC Radio even broadcast in the Okanagan? I don't even know what their FM Radio number is.
Tories, NDP call out CBC president for not ruling out bonuses, despite layoffs
TTAWA — Canada's public broadcaster is feeling the heat after its president declined to rule out the possibility of holiday bonuses this year, hours after announcing massive layoffs.

Catherine Tait appeared Monday on the CBC News flagship show, "The National," and was asked whether executives would be getting rewarded this year despite the cuts.

"I'm going to presume no bonuses this year," said host Adrienne Arsenault. "Can we establish that's not happening this year?"

Tait responded: "It's too early to say where we are for this year. We'll be looking at that, like we do all our line items in the coming months."

Her comments came after CBC and Radio-Canada said Monday that 600 jobs will be cut, and 200 vacancies won't be replaced over the next year.

So there are people in Dick's locked office! I didn't know there was good CBC reception there. I didn't think Dick allowed anything to be received there except several million dollars per year to fund a locked office.

CBC isn't going to be gone once their bribes are defunded. They'll still be around, but will have to adapt their business (lol!) model to be self-sufficient. The likes of gigantic teat-sucker Cathy Tait will have to be punted so that someone with actual business sense can steer the ship.

The financial bribes from government (taxpayers) may be chopped once Pierre Poilievre is in charge, but now another free money source via Google extortion must also be dismantled.

Trudeau found a way to smooth over loss of continuous flow of cash from us

Mr Poilievre is trying to help workers.

The NDP Liberals are trying to keep huge bonuses paid to wealthy executives.

Who's working for you?

Liberals shut down Poilievre’s motion to ban CBC bonuses amid layoffs

Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre’s motion to ban all bonuses for CBC executives after the state broadcaster’s president Catherine Tait confirmed the Crown corporation would lay off 10% of its workforce was foiled by the Liberals in the House of Commons on Tuesday.

Poilievre, who attempted to introduce the motion to the floor, was shouted down by the Liberals, in turn, preventing the motion’s consideration.

According to parliamentary procedure, motions presented in this way require the unanimous consent of the House, which the motion did not receive given the governing Liberals’ opposition.

“Given that, the CBC announced it is cutting 600 jobs and 250 of those jobs are across the broadcaster’s French language services and the CBC has paid nearly $100 million in bonuses to executives and talking heads since 2015,” the motion reads.

“The President of the CBC, Catherine Tait, refused to rule out bonuses for CBC staff this year, despite the announced job cuts, and the CBC President received a salary increase of $60 thousand in July of this year, more than a typical Canadian makes in a year, the House instructs the CBC to immediately ban all executive bonuses.”

Plus 200 currently vacant positions that, according to CBC President and CEO Catherine Tait, have “become irrelevant.” She goes on to say that most Canadians won’t notice any difference. :135:

No doubt, but that being the case, why were they there in the first place?
