The public broadcaster will see 10 per cent taken from its current $1.1-billion budget as part of a $5.2-billion cut to federal spending over three years. The budget will be trimmed $27.8 million for 2012-13, another $41.8 million in 2013-14 and a further $45.4 million in 2014-15 for a total of $115 million. That means the budget is set to be $115 million less from then on.

That is unlikely. Most Canadians pay little or nothing, while high income earners are being soaked. If CBC were an optional subscription service, it would be gone faster than the booze supply at a party for Democrats who have lost to Trump.

Guess they are good for something one day out of 20 billions dollars over this time.

Today I visited CBC news to look over their take on the Freeloader resignation, and as per usual, comments turned to OFF

Then went to Global where comments ran on for miles excoriating CF but especially the Trudeau and his wild, out of control spending of our money. Most were yelping for election NOW.

Such a difference between 2 news sites.

The CBC is making the call to stand by their man, Justin, and go down with the ship. Or they are so stunned and so living inside a bubble that they just don't get it how things are outside their echo chamber. The CBC just plain sucks.
