LOL - yeah right, like the CPC base would ever support an idiot who loves the evil gay-hating Cuban dictator Fidel Castro. This is lunacy.indianlarry66 wrote:polling shows jagmeets ndp eating into the cpc base .

There is no such thing as a "progressive solution" as this is just nonsense. The only thing that the horribly named "progressives" do is invent problems that don't exist, and then suggest unworkable "solutions" that are just pure insanely stupid. Progressives are regressives, and what is shocking is how many of these same people love and show affinity for murdering Cuban dictators. Which just shows at the base of it all, people like Jagmeet on the far Left are fueled by pure evil.

NDP can say or do what they want because they'll never be in a position to live to it all.

Re: All things Jagmeet
What is Jagmeet going to do about this?? So much hate and intolerance in the NDP right now, first with Jagmeet expressing his open love of the murdering gay-hating Cuban dictator Castro and now this NDP'er getting involved with horrible anti-Semites from the UK. The NDP is a total dumpster fire right now.

'Shock, disappointment': Jewish groups react to NDP MP Niki Ashton event with ex-U.K. Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn
https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/canada/s ... d=msedgntpOTTAWA – A prominent Canadian Jewish advocacy group says it was shocked to find out that NDP MP Niki Ashton is joining a talk with former U.K. Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, who was forced to resign over his handling of a report concluding his party did not take action to prevent anti-Semitism.
“It was a mix of shock, disappointment and a bit of revulsion that I felt when I saw that a sitting Member of Parliament would bring would bring — virtually — to Canada the man who has been known to let a spirit of anti-Semitism pervade his party when he was at the helm of that party,” reacted Richard Marceau, vice-president of the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA).
He was reacting to an upcoming virtual “conversation” announced by MP Niki Ashton on social media Thursday between herself and Corbyn on March 20, 2021.

Re: All things Jagmeet
More on the NDP coddling a rabid anti-Semite. First Jagmeet expresses his love for a disgusting Cuban dictator, and now this blatant slap in the face to Jewish people in Canada. The NDP just plain sucks.
https://globalnews.ca/news/7674283/anti ... on-corbyn/Jewish groups raise anti-Semitism concerns ahead of Niki Ashton’s chat with U.K.’s Corbyn
Two prominent Jewish advocacy groups are voicing concerns about anti-Semitism ahead of a public conversation between NDP MP Niki Ashton and former U.K. Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.
The planned livestream talk risks pulling New Democrats in a direction “antithetical” to Canadian values, said Shimon Fogel, head of the Toronto-based Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs, in a joint statement with the Board of Deputies of British Jews.
“Jeremy Corbyn is toxic,” Fogel said, accusing a “small group” of New Democrats of undermining party leadership.
“It is staggering that given the litany of catastrophic, consequential issues before us, including the pandemic, that this is where some in the NDP want to spend the party’s capital.”
The British Labour party has been grappling with allegations that anti-Semitism was allowed to fester under Corbyn, a longtime supporter of Palestinians and a critic of Israel who led the party for almost five years from 2015.

Re: All things Jagmeet
Has Jagmeet completely lost his mind? He wants to lower the voting age in Canada. The young voters have been brainwashed by unionized teachers and environmentalists, that is true, and they are more likely to vote NDP because of that. So of course he wants to take advantage of young impressionable minds that have been polluted by evil Leftists. Jagmeet is a backwards thinker and he should be replaced.
He hasn't been able to budge the party up in the polls and now he's just pushing buttons at random hoping that something works. The actions of a desperate man.
another thing that the NDP has to fear - a high turnout means a high increase in right wing votes, which is great for the Conservatives. Therefore, you can see the Left absolutely HATING the idea of mandatory voting. Of course they do. Rather the young skulls full of mush voting, than mandatory voting. What a bunch of fools the NDP are.

https://www.burnabynow.com/national-new ... da-3669628Federal NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh says he'd rather see voting made more accessible than mandatory.
“I’ve talked about lowering the voting age, getting kids in high schools to start voting and to create that culture of voting there. I think those are some of the things that I’d put more of my emphasis on," he said Tuesday.

Re: All things Jagmeet
Remember that the NDP are in with the Libs and the Bloc on firearms ban etc etc. A vote for the federal NDP is a vote for the Libs in a roundabout way. As for the provincial BCNDP, I shudder to think of what BC would be like without Horgan. It would be total nightmare of social problems/no health care etc if the BC Libs were in power.cyruslosco66 wrote:jagmeet for pm , be awesome for canada to have someone who *bleep* bernie sanders cares about avg person working to make ends meet .
Ok.... you can beat me up now.
Some may view my politically incorrect opinions as harsh and may be offended by them. Some think political correctness will be our undoing.

I refuse to vote Liberal until Trudeau is gone and so long as Jagmeet presents himself as a Liberal lapdog I won't be voting NDP either. The Green's mean well (maybe?) and the Bloc care about Quebec (as they should!) The conservatives have a lot of slack to pick up...The more I think about it the more my head hurts and the less and less I trust in politicians any more!

This is why there is a thread about being "politically homeless" I hear you and I can be slotted into that category.MCB wrote:I refuse to vote Liberal until Trudeau is gone and so long as Jagmeet presents himself as a Liberal lapdog I won't be voting NDP either. If an election were to be held tomorrow, I'd be voting CPC though. Nailed it with the first 4 parties you described.

Re: All things Jagmeet
If this pandemic has done anything positive at all, it has opened a few minds to the concept of "the good of the many outweighs the good of the few". Mr. Singh makes frequent reference to inequality in all its forms, references that would have fallen on deaf ears not too long ago, but are gaining traction as people connect the dots between social and economic inequality and many of the problems becoming more and more obvious daily. I doubt the federal NDP would be a serious contender for control in Ottawa at this point in time, but they serve a very real purpose in showing the public that there are always higher goals to strive for, and that there are always alternatives to the status quo, and that our current way of doing things needs a tune-up.
Just because you've always done it that way doesn't mean it's not incredibly stupid.

Re: All things Jagmeet
There are a lot of clichés to unpack here, and that's the problem I see with Singh - the heavy reliance on "apple pie and motherhood" clichés to cloak a lack of practical understanding, a lack of interest in the negative consequences of bad policy choices made ostensibly "for the greater good".fluffy wrote:If this pandemic has done anything positive at all, it has opened a few minds to the concept of "the good of the many outweighs the good of the few". In reality, Singh and his party offer only impediments to innovation.
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do.
