Why wouldn't they sleep when they are doing the job required of them? Everyone is entitled to be treated the same in a court of law and hopefully justice prevails.

Not every Canadian citizen that is killed by another automatically gets a first degree murder charge laid in the matter.

The topic is narrow, wasn’t meant to include all things about Calgary Police, just the sad incident of officer’s death.

Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice. There’s a certain point at which ignorance becomes malice, at which there is simply no way to become THAT ignorant except deliberately and maliciously.

I wonder if those people who cheered his death are still cheering now.
There's no such thing as gay rights, minority rights, or women's rights.

There are only individual rights. Either we all have the same rights, or we're just groups of special interests fighting for preferential government treatment.

Anyone who thinks that police, prison guards, firefighters and all first responders do not need or deserve extra protection via harsher sentences and treatment are absolutely clueless about the world outside their parents basement.
RIP Officer Harnett.

Kyla Osecap needs some guidance. Posting poison such as hers on FB or Twitter or whatever it was just elevated her status to a non-hirable, problematic individual.

Firstly, how utterly cruel and second, how utterly stupid.

He seemed to have made quite a good impression. So sorry for the ones left behind mourning his loss.
In 2007, though, and part of 2008, Andrew Harnett spent time in the North Okanagan as a military officer at the Vernon army cadet camp.

Wayne Emde spent years at the camp as a public affairs officer, and took photos from 1983 to 2018.

On Saturday, Emde told Global News that Harnett “was really positive with the cadets and the staff. When he was doing his patrols, he’d stop and talk to everybody.”

The system will coddle them. People should be mad not sad, sad comes later after retribution.
