Out of respect for the Harnett family please don't turn this into another bickering, baiting and hairsplitting session. Posts as such will be completely removed. Thank you

Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice. There’s a certain point at which ignorance becomes malice, at which there is simply no way to become THAT ignorant except deliberately and maliciously.

Now one of the original lawyers is gone and the big gun in Calgary, Balfour Der, has taken over the 19 year olds case.
Had a feeling he would be involved in this case as he is "the" most famous lawyer in Calgary.
His client was wanted on warrants at the time of the traffic stop. Assault and failure to appear, according to media.
Not a choirboy.

Why use a big word when a diminutive one will suffice.

https://calgary.ctvnews.ca/incredibly-l ... -1.5253089The last few days have been indescribable and overwhelming. The outpouring of support you have shown us is helping to carry us through this difficult time. It is also a reflection of how many people Andrew touched and legacy of the loyalty and kindness he will leave behind.
A heartfelt letter and can only hope the sentiment continues within the public - he touched so many.
Truths can be backed up by facts - do you have any?

CALGARY — Civilians and first responders lined a major Calgary thoroughfare to watch as police vehicles escorted the remains of a fallen comrade across the city in a formal procession.

Calgary police Sgt. Andrew Harnett was hit and dragged during a traffic stop on New Year's Eve and died shortly after in hospital.
A police live stream Tuesday showed officers placing Harnett's casket, which was draped in a Canadian flag, in the back of a police funeral coach outside the medical examiner's office.
More than a dozen other police vehicles accompanied the coach to a funeral home on the edge of the city in a journey that lasted about an hour.

Dance as if no one's watching, sing as if no one's listening, and live everyday as if it were your last.
Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.

It's times like these that I miss Don Cherry, who would have given this young man time on Coach's Corner, when the NHL starts up again in a week. We need this for Canada, so that Canadians can hear about our young men and women who give their lives for the freedoms we enjoy.oneh2obabe wrote:CALGARY — Civilians and first responders lined a major Calgary thoroughfare to watch as police vehicles escorted the remains of a fallen comrade across the city in a formal procession.

This is only part of Coach’s Corner I didn’t mind, he did excellent job of honouring Fallen Forces members. The Green Barbarian wrote: It's times like these that I miss Don Cherry, who would have given this young man time on Coach's Corner, when the NHL starts up again in a week. I don't give a damn whether people/posters like me or dislike me, I'm not on earth to win any popularity contests.

Thank you Dr Leslyn Lewis for speaking up when this radical leftist celebrates the death of Sgt Harnett.
Trudeau, as usual, is silent and that silence by default indicates his acceptance of the disgusting comments of Abdulhakim Dalel.Dr. Leslyn Lewis
@LeslynLewis
Our nation needs healing. Imagine the hatred that allows someone to denigrate a police officer who dedicated his life to protecting us. His wife is pregnant, his children will be fatherless. We must love and respect each other to uphold the Rule of Law.

And of course, that racist scumbag Dalel was an approved NDP candidate for the 2019 election, which he fortunately lost, and which fortunately went Conservative. We can't be filling our Commons with more cop-hating racists - we already have one as prime minister, and his party is infiltrated with racism. The Green Barbarian wrote:Thank you Leslyn for speaking out against this racist piece of *bleep*. Dancing on the graves of fallen heroes, or any fallen citizen, is a disgusting left wing tactic. We owe Sgt Harnett and his family a debt of gratitude, and using this tragedy to push left wing racist agendas is the scummiest of acts.
