Enbridge Line 5 shutdown.

Canada pressing Michigan to avert shutdown of pipeline critical to fuel needs in Ontario and Quebec

https://www.theglobeandmail.com/politic ... itical-to/

Without this pipeline, Ontario would be about 45-per-cent short of the crude oil it requires, according to Enbridge Inc. Line 5′s supply is used, among other things, to produce gasoline and diesel for Ontario as well as 100 per cent of the jet fuel used at Pearson International Airport.

The pipeline from Michigan is also a critical source of supply for the Line 9 pipeline that runs from Ontario to Quebec and provides 40 per cent to 50 per cent of the crude oil that is used by Quebec refineries to make gasoline and other fuels.

I'm 100% fine with Quebec learning about the value of pipelines the hard way

I think a lot of Canadians feel the same Sheila.

In all honesty, let them shut it down. Imagine all the jobs they can create in ON and PQ building wind and solar! Let’s finally put it all to the test and end the debate once and for all

And the suffering of humankind...Lol

Didn't Ontario already try that? How did that work out for pricing?
Trying to think of something profound, and full of wisdom to place here...any suggestions?

Absolutely shut it down, employ thousands with the bold new green plan, let Kathleen Wynne show the way to enlightenment . Then the west can once again send cash east to save those who must choose between heat and food.

And all of those kids in the Congo mining the cobalt and tantalum for Apple I-Phones and wind turbines. Such brave awesome wokeness going on with the enviro-nuts! Just so gross.

Well if they want to keep those eastern refineries running in the interim, there's always Saudi Arabian crude.

Should have been thinking about that when we were talking about an energy east pipeline

And the crude that will be off-loaded at Portland, Ma. will be coming from..... :135:

A bit harsh maybe but it might smarten up eastern Canada (Ottawa) if these lines are tied up in US courts for a time.

Yes, perhaps the fear of freezing in the dark in winter will make Quebec rethink their adherence to bizarre commitments to "fight" apocalyptic fairy tales.
