Don’t even need to pick up a pen, it’s all done online.Even Steven wrote: Well, I'm kinda lazy, so I didn't even open it.

I don't give a damn whether people/posters like me or dislike me, I'm not on earth to win any popularity contests.

Yeah, but sounds like a waste of time. They should give our like $5 gift certificates to Starbucks. I'd do it then.GordonH wrote:it’s all done online.

"In accordance with the Statistics Act, all residents of Canada are legally required to complete the census questionnaire. Statistics Canada is bound by law to protect the confidentiality of the information respondents provide in the census."
I couldn't believe the stupidity of the online census.
After answering that my one and only language was English it continued to ask questions about what else I spoke. Pretty dumb!

Haven't got one yet but when I do I'm gonna use it as fire starter in my fire pit!
That's kinda the same as filling it out, right?

I completed the online census and can’t imagine who is going to find the answers to the questions helpful in anyway.
Biggest waste of my time and our tax dollars.

I was lucky and got the short form. The long form is over 70 questions long and IMO, there' are some questionable questions. I helped a couple of friends with their long form and it was embarassing to ask them certain questions.

Thank Justin Trudeau for that. The long form was turfed for good reason by intelligent people, but Justin brought it back so he could peek into your bedrooms.TimmyE wrote:I was lucky and got the short form. Re: Canada Census
I think some of the questions they ask are debatable but they do base things like Health Care spending on them.
It's to everyone's benefit to take 5-15 mins and fill out the Census.

Re: Canada Census
I like how people are super paranoid about govt spying on them through cell phones/vaccines/cameras but when the govt is asking what's your name/where do you live/how much money you make/what do you spend on adult toys everybody rushes in to fill it out.

Re: Canada Census
I got the long form census. How the heck am I supposed to know if a roommate worked for themself, how many hours, where their father is from, or what health problems they have? NONE of my business to ask them. I closed it out, didn't save anything. Tried to request a paper form so I can write' I don't know or unknown', but the 1800 number they provide to call isn't working.
And....With all of those questions, not once do they ask...
-Did you have trouble getting healthcare in the last 5 years
-Did you go without food in the last 5 years
- Have you experienced unstable housing in the last 5 years
-Have you been a victim of property crime, fraud, assault, identity theft in the last 5 years
-On a scale of 1 to 10 rate how much trust you have in your govt
How is anyone able to answer these questions in this 'long form' https://census.gc.ca/many-languages-nom ... ns-eng.htm about another person/ roommate?...

Some may view my politically incorrect opinions as harsh and may be offended by them. Some think political correctness will be our undoing.
