You are right, it ain't the truth. Bash Smith all you want, that's fine, but it's so transparent, and pretty pathetic. She's doing a fantastic job, and Alberta is so lucky to have her.
where did I bash Ms Smith ?

Imagine if you will a province that has a housing problem brought on by people who see an opportunity to grow and prosper . If only all provinces could have that problem rather than being faced with housing Trudeau town residents . We can dream……right ?
Anyone see the difference between an influx of Canadians, willing to work, “can do” types, escaping the socialist’s dreams of enslaving them vs an influx of immigrants who don’t speak the language, followed with their elderly and young in the same pickle of language barriers, possibly without any skills to benefit Canada, whose only reason for being in any province here is to escape a war and its fallout?

I see a huge difference in who intends, or has, moved into western provinces.

Granted, we need some new immigrants, not an invasion in massive numbers that no jurisdiction can cope with.
Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice. There’s a certain point at which ignorance becomes malice, at which there is simply no way to become THAT ignorant except deliberately and maliciously.

So some people are allowed to seek out better lives for them and their families and some aren't. It's now crystal clear where you're coming from Cats.

Please note the difference between Canadians relocating for work and housing and what immigrants illegal or otherwise are handed thanks to Canadian taxpayers . Check this list of free handouts along with a daily allowance of Canadian taxpayer cash . Good grief the bottomless pit of taxpayer money

lots of room for a brain as there sure isn't one in the entire NDP anywhere.

The UCP’s New Target: Limits on Fossil Fuel Greenwashing

Alberta is outraged about a federal bill that would require oil and gas companies to prove their green claims.

Say what you will about Alberta’s United Conservative Party government, you have to admire their sheer brass.

Consider the impassioned protests of the province’s so-called environment minister, Rebecca Schulz, whose job apparently principally involves enabling and even encouraging environmental destruction by fossil fuel extraction corporations, at the prospect of federal legislation that would try to hold Big Oil to the alien concept of truth in advertising.

Quelle horreur!

Last week, under the headline “Bill C-59 gag order must be stopped,” Schulz, or more likely someone in the UCP strategic brain trust, published an overwrought screed on the government’s official web page claiming Ottawa’s Fall Economic Statement Implementation Act, 2023, is a major attack on free speech.

What is proposed is not a gag order, of course, and the bill contains a long list of what could be referred to as housekeeping items. As for the utility of the truth-in-advertising measures included in its pages, there’s probably not much given the short time likely remaining to the Liberal federal government.

Still, the bill, tabled last fall, has been amended to include a provision to try to prevent “greenwashing” by requiring corporations to provide evidence to support their environmental claims. Greenwashing is usually defined as a form of marketing spin intended to persuade members of the public that a product, service or activity is more environmentally friendly than it really is.

Thankfully Alberta has bill 18 which keeps Trudeau and his filthy ilk in their own lane .This also prevents hit piece journalism from the tyee (that is supported and funded by the NDP unions.) from having influence on Alberta industries .
I love Alberta oil and gas , you should too ,

As they should be. The idiot Liberals are disgusting fascists, shoving the debunked man-made climate change hysteria down the throats of Canadians, for no reason. It's disgusting. Go Danielle - fight these climate fascist scum, we are all rooting for you.

LNG exports to China are 50% cleaner, especially as it replaces coal. Without LNG, China would exclusively be using coal. Exporting LNG has no emissions.

The Green industry is greenwashed using coal to make solar panels, etc. all that stuff should be scrubbed. Ugly wind turbines using incredible amounts of cement and un-recycleable materials; ohhh the horror. The green industry is dirty and creates a permanent blight over enormous swaths of landscape. They should never advertise they are clean OR bette for the environment.

Time to replace Notley. The replacement candidates run the gamut of Climate change, race baiters, and Ex attourneys that look like they should be singing about misinformation to the tune of Mary Poppins. All of them will attempt to ruin the O&G industry. All of them are climate butnars. All of them I bet would pale in comparison to the damage Notley would had done.

It's a done deal. Naheed Nenshi has been elected leader of the Alberta NDP with a little over 62,000 votes. His closest competitor,Calgary MLA Kathleen Ganley, received 5899 votes.
