That's the combined travel expense for their SPOUSES.......close to 250K :200: . That's on top of their own travel expenses. Look who came in third in travel expenses for their spouse at 126K......yup good ole Independent JWR without a portfolio.

I know, but before I get outraged, I need to know what the average is for other MPs. I don't see that in this link.

I assume that the actual person being discussed here is Tracy Gray, and the spelling error is just due to general stupidity. Can someone show us these "exorbitant travel expenses"? Where are they?

Anti-abortionists and white extremists? What are you talking about? Why don't you just address the actual topic instead of inserting these bald-faced and stupid lies into every thread? It's just such an act of pure desperation. Just amazing.

This is a great story about "Conservative" MP Andrew Scheer and his ride on the gravy train (Scheer is one of those CPC lifetime politicians who has never held a real job--they are legion).

Seems he granted an interview and claimed . . .

In an interview with CPAC in 2010, host Catherine Clark asked Scheer where he lives when he stays in Ottawa.

“I sleep in the same bed I slept in when I was in high school and elementary school. I stay with Mum and Dad,” Scheer said, laughing and blushing.

“Sometimes,” he said, his parents wait up for him. “My parents like to, you know, visit with me and I like to visit with them, so sometimes when I am going out in the morning, they’ll say: ‘What time do you think you’ll be back?’ and I’ll say, ‘Maybe seven o’clock or so,’ and then, invariably, I’ll have a supper meeting, or the House will sit late and I end up stuck in my office returning phone calls or things like that. And I come home at nine, and my parents will say ‘I thought you said you’d be home at seven,’” Scheer said, mimicking them and sighing.

“It’s funny. I like it,” he told Clark, who agreed that the scenario sounded lovely.

“It’s great on a lot of levels,” Scheer added. “It saves the taxpayers money, because I’m staying with Mom and Dad, not at hotels…. I’m living off my parents,” he said, laughing.

Later it was noted Scheer also claimed almost $43,000 in accommodation and per diems while sleeping in his mom's bed and living off his parents.

When this grift was discovered, his office/babysitters changed the story too . . .
Andrew Scheer's Office Says He Exaggerated 2010 Story About Staying At Parents' Home

Just more grift from the party of fiscal responsibility that's going to clean up Ottawa.

Footnote: Scheer would later go on to lead the CPC and claim $900,000 for "office supplies," and swindle money from party donors to buy himself clothes, a minivan and tuition payments for his kids' ritzy private schools.

Oh and don't forget too that one of the first things they do when they get in power is give tax breaks for those rich enough to afford private schools. The corruptions and the scandals of the CPC 6 years later were so odoriferous it's still being remembered by the Canadian voters like it happened yesterday.

And let's not forget the former MP Jason Kenney who claimed he lived in his mother's retirement home basement, all to snag another thousand bucks per month from taxpayers on top of his MP salary, Cabinet salary, travel amounts, per diems and gold plated pensions.

One of many problems with the CPC is it's full of uneducated hucksters who have never held real jobs, who believe their main mission in politics is to become rich off the taxpayers.

Grifters, all.

This is so true. And another of the many problems with the CPC is that it’s full of uneducated supporters who too easily fall for the grifting from CPC politicians. Conservative gullibility is a plague on Canadian values.

I'm old enough to remember when former MP Stephen Harper said the pandemic supports to Canadians were overkill.

But of course he had no trouble taking his share of the emergency wage subsidy.

Once a conservative grifter, always a conservative grifter.

Burn.

Not really. Just more nonsensical lying and taking comments out of context. Here's what Harper said:
In addition to questioning the Trudeau government's spending policies, Harper also suggested the country's vaccine rollout was slowed due to lacklustre execution and the government's poor relationships with drug companies.
https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/stephe ... -1.6120113

And he's 100% right. Trudeau and the rest of the Liberal childrens' spending policy has been a disaster, and stupidly planned and executed. And of course their vaccine roll-out was horrendous and cost many Canadian lives. Oh to have Stephen Harper, and actual adult, back as our PM!!!

This makes zero sense. "Conservative thinkers"? What??

The Conservatives would return to the Harper era policies of tax cuts for the rich, under the guise of "stimulating the job-providers". And don't forget, they'd bring with them the hillbilly gun nuts, the religious zealots and their conversion therapy believers who torture people under the disguise of "religious freedom", and the anti-vaxxers who will endanger us all. Time for the Conservative party to fade into history.

We could only hope to go back to the Harper era. And it wouldn't be under the guise of anything, other then this country could go back to being run by qualified adults instead of the incredibly stupid unqualified children we have running Canada right now.
And don't forget, ",
Insert foolish fear mongering nonsense here.
Time for the Conservative party to fade into history.
While the Liberals are awful, the two parties that could fold up tomorrow without causing much of a ripple on the Canadian political scene are the irrelevant Greens and the horrible NDP. Neither party has any policies that would appeal to anyone but the furthest Left and dumbest part of the political spectrum. Given the CPC are currently the only centrist option right now the last thing that Canada needs is them to "fade into history". Given the mass stupidity demonstrated by the parties on the Left, the CPC is needed more than ever.

Hint: Almost all of them.

I'd be surprised if there were a huge number of honest politicians. It seems no matter the country, no matter the party... they just love to take take take and only give to their buddies or people when it benefits them back personally.
