I can't seriously be the only one that sees the incredible amount of irony in this post from one of the most prolific Trudeau supporters on CNet!

Could not agree more with this sentiment HG. :130:

Such a shame things didn't really work out for Ms Wilson Raybould but sadly that's what happens when you stand up to a staggeringly corrupt and evil narcissist like Sockboy. At least she can hold her head up high knowing she stood her ground and didn't cower to him.
Yup, Justin is awful. Just the worst. Raybould is awesome! Way to stand up to evil and tyranny!

Here we go with this fear-mongering nonsense again. I'm more concerned about the far left and the blank cheque those idiots have enjoyed since COVID started, that have put Canada over $1 trillion in debt. One thing I know is - the far Left is NOT the future anyone with a brain wants for Canada. Vote the bum Trudeau out!

Unfortunately, a significant portion of our society believes that the way to voice their concerns and make their views heard is through name-calling, bullying, and violence, whether threatened or actual. This type of behaviour is supported by selfies and social media posts, all to boost an image and gain their 15 minutes of fame.

While Mr. O'Toole has taken the high road and said, "We should be having a healthy and respectful debate. We have no time for people who bring negativity to campaigning. I urge everyone to put the country and our democracy first — let's have a positive debate of ideas on the future. That's my approach, and that's my expectation for every single member of our team." Mr. Bernier has taken to calling Mr. Trudeau a "fascist psychopath" and taken a leadership role at anti-vaccination and anti-lockdown rallies, some of which have threatened violence.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/conser ... -1.6156959

Leadership is always difficult, especially political leadership where it often becomes cult-like. Mr. O'Toole is a nice person. However, he is trying to herd a pack of barking dogs. Many of the dogs are moving in different directions, each trying to draw the rest to follow their lead regarding the deficit, future fiscal policy, the environment, energy, or vaccines. As a result, nobody really knows where the pack is going.

Mr. Trudeau prefers the pied-piper leadership dance. His sweet music lulls followers into a sugary dance of promises, many of which cannot or will not be fulfilled. Unfortunately, a diet of sugar is unfulfilling. It gives you a burst of sweet energy followed immediately by hunger and emptiness.

Mr. Singh is often perceived as the best leader. He delivers a constant message and his followers are united in their beliefs and desire to improve things. However, Mr. Singh offers a path that has never been travelled by any Canadian government. His party offered a fiscal ten-year plan as a roadmap to attain their goals. However, to attain these goals increased taxes on the rich, off-shore corporations doing business in Canada, and Canadian industries would be necessary. A process that is not popular with those who believe in top-down economics.

The best leaders all too often do not lead the best parties. As a result, I will continue to vote for whom I believe is the best candidate in my riding. I base my choice on their participation in Parliament, constituency service to the riding, and their summary of expenses. With those things in mind, I cannot support my current CPC incumbent. Perhaps if all voters cast their ballot for the best person in their riding rather than the perceived qualities of the party leader, we would have a better government.

Fluffy I recommend you read this..

https://torontosun.com/opinion/columnis ... -otherwise

“ The shutdown of Trudeau’s Friday night event in Bolton, Ont., followed by the yelling, screaming and flag waving at his event in Cambridge on Sunday, is some of the best media coverage he’s gotten. The Liberals, if they aren’t already, are going to try to get these protesters out to as many events as possible.

After two weeks of an aimless, feckless campaign, the Liberals finally had something to rally around. No, not a bold new policy nor a reason for the election – it’s fighting the radical fringe.

Only a re-elected Trudeau government can protect Canada!”

<< snip >>

“ That said, the Liberals, including Trudeau, are acting as if this is new in politics, an American import or that it’s unique to this band of Liberals.

They should think again.

At the 1968 St. Jean Baptiste parade in Montreal, Pierre Trudeau, our newly minted prime minister, was seated on the reviewing stand. According to a Montreal Gazette report from the time, as violence broke out, caused by separatists upset with Trudeau’s presence, bottles were flung at the reviewing stand. The elder Trudeau, we’re told, didn’t flinch.

While on Friday night, Justin Trudeau said he’s never seen such hostility, he may not recall being in a train with his father and two brothers in 1982. The train had so much food thrown at it that reporters dubbed it the Caesar Salad Express. In Sudbury, a rock was put through a window.”

<< snip >>

“ At the start of the 2015 election, at Stephen Harper’s first event in Montreal, a man was arrested for uttering threats. Harper was the subject of no end of vitriol from the Liberal side of the aisle including the party posting a doctored photo of Lee Harvey Oswald’s assassination with Harper’s face over Oswald’s. That was on the official Liberal.ca website.
Harper was compared to Hitler by progressive activists on a regular basis and during that same 2015 election, protesters beat an effigy of Harper with bats in Vancouver and barely a blip.“

I wonder if Obama or Biden will interfere this time around. Our election should be called "Beyound-Blackface 2021"

US Democrats do not seem embarrassed enough to endorse our current black-faced, toxicity-hiring, continually-conflicting, ethics-laughing, pipe-denying, world-ending, communist-endorsing, Alberta-forgetting, vacation-splurging, banking-data-sharing, bank-bail-in-enabling, debt-loving, costume-wearing, breast-elbowing, dope-smoking, attorney general-interfering, military-defunding, Chinese-bribed, illegal-donation-accepting woke PM. I think Justin will go down in history as the worst PM ever. The NDP won't be any better this go around since they are woke-er and will shift left-er.

I say let's not even worry about it. Give Erin a majority, and let the next 4 years be good ones. And if Erin decides to start kneeling in graveyards with teddy bears, then we vote him out too.

Let's talk conservative majority scenarios.

Could it happen? Absolutely. Using current regional brackets, the CPC needs ~37% nationally. Mainstreet & EKOS have already measured the CPC that high, let's see what other pollsters will show this week.

We'd also have 338 CPC candidates winning with huge majorities in every riding. There has to be a few Liberals and NDP people making it through so there is at least some opposition in our government, even if they are the inferior choice to the CPC candidate.

The CPC aficionado constant refrain of "but Justin" is a deflection that sounds like "my stuff don't stink".

The NDP, the Bloc, the Liberals, the Bloc are all campaigning for leaders who leaders who truly represent their party, what the grassroots of the party have proposed and voted for in conventions, and what their party's MPs have voted for and against.

There is a huge disconnect between what O'Toole is campaigning on and what "his" party, the CPC actually does. O'Toole is running against what the grassroots have voted for at conventions. O'Toole is running against how his CPC MPs have voted. O'Toole is even running against how O'Toole has voted. To be honest, that means that much of O'Toole's "new" policy positions are highly unlikely to ever see the light of day.

When making a choice, it important to know your local candidate, and with incumbents that easy - just go to ourcommon.ca and you can see what they actually vote for and against. You do NOT get to vote for Paul, Singh, O'Toole, Blanchet, or Trudeau. You vote for the local representative who should reflect your values and priorities as best as possible (no two people agree on 100% of the time on 100% of issues).

That's your real choice, and your real option, choose the local candidate for MP that best fits your worldview and priorities and that will lead to better politics and democracy, and a better Canada.
The middle path - everything in moderation, and everything in its time and order.

I don't know who a "CPC aficionado" is, but I don't really saying anyone say "But Justin". We're all too distracted by the dazzling and amazing performance of Erin O'Toole. He is doing such an amazing job!

Well, if Justin Trudeau truly represents the Liberals, then they are in big trouble.

I agree. It's so great that the CPC are running so many awesome candidates in the Okanagan. It really makes it a no-brainer as to who to vote for!

That might have been worth some attention had it come from a real journalist and not some far right pamphleteer like Brian Lilley.

Nobody was challenging these peoples' right to protest, it's the way they chose to do it. Hurling obscenities and drowing out the speaker is not protest, it's subverting the democratic process. Let him speak, and let the audience make up their own minds.
