Correct, that’s how old school traditional vaccines work which inject a minuscule amount of the actual virus into your body so that your body eventually builds up natural antibodies to fight the virus… However that is not how the MRNA vaccine works, you owe Merry an apology.crookedmember wrote: ↑Oct 21st, 2021, 7:52 am You don't understand how vaccines work.
Vaccines teach your body how to fight the target virus if you do contract it.
So vaccinated people are able to fight off the invader fast with few or no symptoms and a small window to spread the virus.

So, nothing definite in there. I'm always a little suspicious of "weasel words" when they appear in claims of this nature, such as:
In addition, people who are vaccinated and then get infected (breakthrough infections) can also spread the virus to others, perhaps to the same extent as those who are unvaccinated.
I'll use those words myself when I'm not exactly sure that what I'm saying is a proven fact.

These are not reliable sources. They are personal anecdotes of dubious reliability.
All 6 of those people at that dinner were fully vaxxed, yet all 6 “got sick” with Covid. Thankfully none required hospitalization, which was probably due to the vaccine, but they DID “get sick”.
I also know of fully vaccinated folks who work at a fly in mine who also “got sick” with Covid, despite being in an environment where they were surrounded by fully vaccinated people.
So the chances of a fully vaccinated person “getting sick” following contact with a fully vaccinated person who is carrying the disease, are NOT “miniscule”.

ETA: MRNA injects a spike protein into your system which is supposed to cling onto the virus cell, and remove the virus cell from your system, unfortunately MRNA vaccines are still in the experimental stage and is proving to not be very effective after six months.Hurtlander wrote: ↑Oct 21st, 2021, 8:36 amCorrect, that’s how old school traditional vaccines work which inject a minuscule amount of the actual virus into your body so that your body eventually builds up natural antibodies to fight the virus… However that is not how the MRNA vaccine works, you owe Merry an apology.crookedmember wrote: ↑Oct 21st, 2021, 7:52 am You don't understand how vaccines work.

I know you're being sarcastic, but it certainly is bizarre that Elmer O'Toole wouldn't permit unvaccinated press on his campaign plane and bus, but he's apparently cool with sitting next to unvaccinated, facebook-meme-belching-imbeciles-from-Hooterville in the House.bob vernon wrote: ↑Oct 20th, 2021, 1:51 pm The federal Liberals want Parliament to meet on November 22. Conservatives, of course, want all MPs to be allowed into the chamber, whether they're vaccinated or not and to sit side by side in those cramped desks. 30 to 40 Conservative MPs have refused to divulge whether they're vaccinated for Covid or not and yet they want to waltz into Parliament, possibly spreading their illness to whoever comes near them.

This is not about Liberal tyranny, it's about O'Toole's total lack of courage and spine.
It's not about Liberal tyranny, it's about Elmer's inability to get on the right side of an issue if it means offending his dull-witted base.
Sad.

Conservatives want choice for MPs. They've got a choice. Get vaccinated or stay out of the building.

Should that no apply to all MP's. Why the fascination/fixation with only one party?bob vernon wrote: ↑Oct 21st, 2021, 10:03 am

Re: More Liberal tyranny
According to what I’ve read, the majority of Conservative MPs ARE vaccinated. Apparently only 3 of them are not, and one of the 3 has a medical exemption.crookedmember wrote: ↑Oct 21st, 2021, 9:34 amI know you're being sarcastic, but it certainly is bizarre that Elmer O'Toole wouldn't permit unvaccinated press on his campaign plane and bus, but he's apparently cool with sitting next to unvaccinated, facebook-meme-belching-imbeciles-from-Hooterville in the House.bob vernon wrote: ↑Oct 20th, 2021, 1:51 pm The federal Liberals want Parliament to meet on November 22. The issue the Conservatives have is not with the vaccines per se, but with the requirement to disclose what they consider to be personal medical information.

Wait till they find out about all the 'personal medical information' on the back of driving passports. The government has no right to know if people need corrective lenses to drive! Tyranny!!

Re: More Liberal tyranny
Because the CPC "party of stupid" is being stupid. The CPC is only party that potentially has unvaccinated idjits as MPs. The Green, NDP, Liberal and Bloc MPs are all fully vaccinated. The CPC "party of stupid" is still touting the abject failure that is "rapid tests". No other party touts that stupidity. The Green Barbarian wrote: ↑Oct 21st, 2021, 10:03 amShould that no apply to all MP's. Stupid is as stupid does. The CPC is being stupid, which is becoming a normal modus operand for the collection of disjointed factions within the CPC.
When a political party, like the CPC, consistently descends into rejection of rationality and a priori thought it makes them a target for all but the guy on the corner bar stool.
There is no "tyranny" here. It is logical that MPs should be vaccinated unless they have the very rare medical exemption. That is the best practice. But instead the CPC "party of stupid" runs about like headless chickens and rejects rational thought and responsibility to others.
The middle path - everything in moderation, and everything in its time and order.
