Canadian Volunteers to Ukraine

Post by Rol-Tanguy »

I don't know if this fits the Canada topic or the world one, but I chose Canada because it relates to Canadian volunteers.
Basically, my question is, why? I'm seeing all these people going up about joining and even being promoted by government officials, and I'm simply wondering why. Where was this enthusiasm to volunteer in a war when the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war broke out, or the Tigray war, or Yemen?? Especially when it comes to people in office promoting this idea, where was this when a handful of Canadians were volunteering for Rojava in northern Syria, or, going into history here, when Canada made it illegal for people to volunteer in the Spanish Civil war on the republican side.

Good question.
Not sure.
Most of the wars you mentioned are civil wars.
What despot murderer Vladimir Putin is doing right now is an invasion of a free country reminiscent of the beginning of WW2 perhaps. No one wants to see that again.
This invasion was unprovoked, for no good reasons other than the lunatic wants his old Russia back.

Here's an article about a few of the volunteers.

And perhaps a reason to go this time.

^ She stinks.

Freeland is quickly becoming one of the filthiest Canadians ever. Poor people Dying in a Russia-Ukraine war has nothing to do with freedom and tyranny.
“This is a crucial moment in history and if Putin wins this one, one democracy after another will fall. Everything we do, be it from buying medical equipment to picking up a gun and killing somebody, we are doing it out of love and for those who defend.”
That's what they said for Vietnam war, where four million poor people were slaughtered for the benefit of rich people.
You would have to be really dumb to be influenced by the Canadian media to go get killed in Ukraine so Ukrainian oligarchs can buy houses in London for $100 million.

Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelensky recently announced that Ukraine’s armed forces will welcome foreign volunteers and build an international brigade following Russia’s invasion of his country.
What a fool. If I was Russia I would send one suicide bomber into Zelensky's "brigade" since the comedian welcomes "volunteers" to die.
Soon after his announcement, British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss expressed her support for Britons seeking to fight for Ukraine. Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister of Foreign Affairs Mélanie Joly made similar remarks:
Image
Liz Truss, a German politician and Canada's Melanie Joly - three more fools. As Gerald Celente said - go and fight yourself.
“We understand that people of Ukrainian descent want to support their fellow Ukrainians and also that there is a desire to defend the motherland and in that sense it is their own individual decision …. Let me be clear: we are all very supportive of any form of support to Ukrainians right now.”
Politicians are so stupid. I wonder if you need a mask and a vaccine to go to Ukraine?
Canadian Defence Minister Anita Anand similarly told “all foreigners willing to defend Ukraine and world order” to contact the foreign diplomatic missions of Ukraine.
Another fool.

Image
That is Ukraine's Defence Minister Reznikov- waging war on people of Donbass. If you want to support Ukrainians, tell him to stop the genocide.

But there's no need to die in Ukraine. Thanks to Trudeau-Freeland, we are all contributing to the slaughter with over $1 billion of our tax dollars. and we don't have to die - that's the wonderful thing about it. Just pay your taxes and you'll contribute to Ukraine's death numbers - all unvaccinated unmasked deaths.

So Bill Blair says this a few weeks ago:

“We will not let any foreign entities that seek to do harm to Canada or Canadians erode trust in our democratic institutions, or question the legitimacy of our democracy.”

The blue collar types that were in Ottawa are probably the same type that are volunteering - yet the jeering crowd earlier are the ones cheering now.

I'm just trying to understand. (although I have a pretty good idea)
Censorship may lead to lack of information and subsequent development of apathy, ignorance, conformism and general stagnation. It may threaten democracy and encourage subversive activities... but worse is invisible censorship - it's alive and well.
