The protests in Ottawa were such a clear and present danger to government of Canada yet Parliamentarians saw fit to stroll past the convoy into the HOC every day for two weeks

Ms. Raquel Dancho:
Minister, I apologize, but just to be clear, you were saying the extraordinary high thresholds of these incredible, never-before-invoked emergency powers met the threshold that this was a national public safety security issue, and you connected it to the goings-on at Coutts. You're insinuating that this was happening in Ottawa. That's the main argument that you've made for the purpose of invoking this act, yet I walked every single day for two weeks past these protests.
You can imagine the anxiety that this causes to parliamentarians, to Ottawa staff, and we can go on, yet I don't understand how you could be saying on one hand there are all these strong ties and this was a national emergency for public safety, while I walked by these protests every day. It just doesn't really add up at all.

Tell us again how the news comes from Western Standard . These statements are from HOC proceedings .

Marco Mendocino needs to resign TODAY!!

. . ..
That's right, nobody needs the Western Standard when anyone can find the full dialogue, which begins here with Marco Mendicino at 12:38.

Oh Marco, Justin is gassing up the bus, and it looks like you're lying (see what I did there?) in the middle of the road.

What a lying, obfuscating POS Mendacity is. You can see and hear him lying about Bernardo transfer.

What do these aaaaswholes do all day long? They get memos from CSIS and ignore them. Are they illiterate?
Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice. There’s a certain point at which ignorance becomes malice, at which there is simply no way to become THAT ignorant except deliberately and maliciously.

From the comments:
it seems that the qualification to be a Liberal minister is to ignore all ministerial responsibility
Ditto for this Liberal prime minister. We can count on Trudeau to either leave Mendicino in place, or replace him with someone equally incompetent.

The left wing's VPNs are smokin' today, but it's still not enough to swing public opinion on Marco's Massive Porker.

Should federal Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino resign over his office's handling of knowledge convicted killer Paul Bernardo was being transferred to a medium-security prison?

Yes 72.2%
No 21.91%
Unsure 5.88%

(Federal Public Safety Minister) Marco Mendicino should resign or be fired over his office's handling of knowledge that Paul Bernardo was being transferred to a medium-security prison, Opposition Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre said Wednesday.

Poilievre pointed out that when the Correctional Service of Canada's decision to move the convicted killer and serial rapist from his maximum-security penitentiary became public, the minister of public safety said he was shocked.

The Conservative leader is now calling that reaction a lie, given the correctional service informed his office at least three months before the transfer and again several days before Bernardo was moved.

Spokesman Kevin Antonucci said the correctional service has a process to provide the minister's office advance notice on matters pertaining to high-profile offenders.

He said Mendicino's office was first emailed about Bernardo's transfer on March 2, but told the final date for the move had not yet been determined.

Antonucci said the correctional service emailed his office again on May 25, notifying the government that Bernardo would be transferred on May 29.

Poilievre noted that the minister's office had received "at least two emails" as he spoke before going into his weekly caucus meeting.

It's pretty simple.

He was aware, and is lying because he's so stupid as to think this wouldn't be an issue.
Or...his staff is so stupid as to not tell him, and he's responsible for them.

In any other business, you would be fired.
The government should not be that much removed from reality that anyone should get away with this.
This is not left vs right, Lib vs Con, this is about what is right and what is wrong.
He is in the wrong.
Once again, even if you are a staunch Liberal supporter, he is damaging your brand, and you should want him gone.

Bye bye.
