… your post reveals more about you than the subject matter.
And your thoughts are ?????????????
Why is it that every press conference that Ms. Brenda Lucki < Hand picked to her position to be the first Female Commissioner by the one and only Justin Trudeau > always was wearing total official RCMP approved outfits , comes before the Mass Casualty Commission inquiry < into one of the worse mass shootings in Canadian history > wearing something that she must have bought off of Whoopi Goldberg ?
She likely outgrew her uniforms....

What a political appointment she was. Hardly capable of running the largest Police force in Canada.

I'd suggest by this she was never a real COP or street cop and therefore she missed it!! This is off their own Federal site. She was politically promoted, didn't Trudeau do well, he put a female incharge of the RCMP!! Well done JT, she is as qualified as you are!

Commissioner Brenda Lucki

Commissioner Brenda Lucki, under the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Act, and direction of the Minister of Public Safety, has the control and management of the RCMP. This includes overseeing the delivery of front-line policing services in most provinces (except Ontario and Quebec) and all territories, law enforcement and investigative services to enforce federal laws, technology and support services to the broader policing community, and international policing duties.

Brenda Lucki was born in Edmonton, Alberta, and joined the RCMP in 1986. Throughout her career, she's served in Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, Saskatchewan, at the RCMP Academy (Depot Division), as well as internationally.

Her first posting was in Granby, Quebec, in federal policing. In 1993 and 1994, she served on a peacekeeping mission in the former Yugoslavia, overseeing investigations and monitoring aid delivery.

In 1995, she transferred to the RCMP's peacekeeping program in Ottawa. Following that role, she advanced through the non-commissioned officer ranks, first as an instructor at the RCMP Academy, then as an acting Detachment Commander in Manitoba.

In 2003, she was promoted to Inspector, working as the Traffic Services Officer for Saskatchewan, followed by the Community and Contract Policing and District Operations Officer.

In 2009, she rose to the rank of Superintendent, and became a District Commander in Manitoba. In 2012, she was promoted to Chief Superintendent, and became a District Commander in Alberta.

In 2016, she was named Commanding Officer of the RCMP Academy, and on March 9, 2018, she was announced as the RCMP's 24th Commissioner.

Commissioner Lucki has a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and sociology from the University of Alberta. She is married and has two step-daughters and three grandchildren.

Wow!

Bill Bliar throws Lucki completely under the bus and calls her a liar.

Raquel Dancho exposes the lying fool that he is.

She did a good job on that.

Such a difference between Ms Dancho and Bliar.

She's well-spoken, intelligent, calm, prepared, and clearly there for the good of Canada.

Bliar is the exact opposite on every item. Brutal.

Under the bus, Bren. Under the bus.

She knows too much about Trudeau and Bliar's illegal interference in the Wortman case. They shuffled her out, hoping she fades away.

RCMP Commissioner Brenda Lucki to retire next month

I saw her resignation coming a while ago.. She is the token woman leader, to show I promote woman. Anyone who was in the FORCE knows better, like Trudeau lacking ability.

I think she had to walk the plank.

Marcel Dion's abrupt resignation announced now as well.

Those with the power to investigate/charge/convict Trudeau are removed within a couple of days of each other. Coincidence? Methinks not.

EDITORIAL: Time's up for RCMP boss

RCMP Commissioner Brenda Lucki has announced she will retire effective March 17 . In our view, her departure can’t come soon enough.

When he announced her appointment as Commissioner in March 2018, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke of Lucki in glowing terms and praised her as a trailblazer, being the first woman to lead the RCMP.

“She is an exceptional leader who is known for being a hard worker, a dedicated officer and someone who is constantly looking for ways to improve the status quo,” Trudeau said.

Lucki’s appointment was supposed to signal a change in the RCMP that would see our national police force deal with very real problems within the force. Like persistent problems of sexism and sexual harassment within the ranks and allegations of racism especially towards Canada’s Indigenous community.

After five years, it’s unclear if anything has improved on either of those fronts, but we have seen Lucki tarnish the reputation of the RCMP through her actions and lack of leadership.

Lucki has proven herself to be an ineffective leader who put the partisan needs of her political masters above the needs of her rank-and-file officers and the communities they serve.

We saw this in her bungling of the mass shooting in Portapique, Nova Scotia. As investigators were trying to keep a lid on which firearms had been used and as they tried to determine how the shooter obtained them, Lucki was dealing in politics.

She pushed for the types of firearms to be released at a time when investigators said they shouldn’t be released because of political pressure from the Trudeau government. When that allegation came out, Lucki said that wasn’t true; a recording of a conference call with officers showed the allegation was true and that Lucki was trying to save face.

At the Emergencies Act inquiry, we learned Lucki believed police had not exhausted all options, that tools for dealing with the convoy were still available to officers and had not been used. Rather than speak up as cabinet debated this issue, Lucki sat there in silence, choosing not to speak truth to power.

We should be celebrating the first woman to lead an important organization like the RCMP; instead we are left feeling her departure in a month can’t come soon enough.

much like Kamala Harris in the US, these political appointments based not on merit but on virtue signaling are backfiring everywhere. It's time to get back to appointing people based on merit, not on what is between their legs or their skin tone.
There's no such thing as gay rights, minority rights, or women's rights.

There are only individual rights. Either we all have the same rights, or we're just groups of special interests fighting for preferential government treatment.

You've hit the nail on the head, run, run and fast. Interesting although not surprised by these two leaving.
