Someone who chooses to hate our government isn't automatically right in their opinions. No matter how much they try to convince people they are.

I still remember 1982 when Pierre went on that train trip across Western Canada and his train was pelted with eggs and tomatoes at every station. Justin was on that train. He should have learned something from that experience, but it appears he learned nothing.

Because some people have opinions that are not acceptable. We shouldn't tolerate them. They probably read stuff
on the internet and think they're educating themselves. They learn new words like body autonomy and think they
deserve to have that.

those people are crazy.

This says a lot about right wing emotional fragility when a politician getting elected Prime Minster 3 times by Canadian voters causes such meltdowns and temper tantrums. It's a sad state for the political right when so many of them openly fantasize about Trudeau being murdered.
It's that special time of year when conservatives stupidly act like they're not allowed to say Merry Christmas.

I agree that Trudeau sr. (also Mulroney) was more widely hated than Justin. He did learn something from it, that “one should always wave with all five fingers” [icon_lol2.gif]

I could not agree more.

Justin Trudeau is just the worst of the worst of the worst, and an order of magnitude worse than that.

Any leader who chooses to hate his citizens, calling them "these people,” "the anti-vaxxers", "women-haters", "misogynists", "racists", "fringe group" and "science-deniers", is not worthy of being a leader.
I'm posting this from Traditional lands of the British Empire & the current Lands of The Dominion of Canada.
I also give thanks for this ethos richness bestowed on us via British Colonialism.

It's not just limited to the West. The disgust with the Liberals goes coast to coast now.

Those little snippets of quotes are a distortion of what he actually said, which anyone with any reading comprehension and unblinded by partisanship understands explicitly referred to the small fringe minority of the protesters and not Canadians generally. He wasn’t even referring to the majority of the protesters. Those were all apt descriptions of that minority within the larger minority. I will give you this, those distortions have certainly ginned up a lot of hate among the hard of thinking on the right.

Yup. It's certainly interesting to see who pipes up and says they're personally offended when the PM calls out white nationalism.

Good thing I'm not an old-stock Canadian. I'd be insulted by everything from my shadow to common words. Or getting the finger back in kind after I give it. The world is a scary place. Of course, we all know what Liberal protesters would be called. Conservative favourite word - is "Terrorists". That's what conservatives called everyone under the sun - in the country and across the world. But a "fringe" group label is simply a step too far.

They did, the difference was that in the mainstream reporting the quotes weren’t edited to remove the context as they were in the hair-on-fire right-wing media. As I said, it’s worked a treat for those who want to keep their supporters in a partisan frenzy, which, imo, was the true mission of the convoy.
