https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/other/gu ... 4159e&ei=9GUNTER: Singh failing Canadians by propping up federal Liberals
Jagmeet Singh, leader of the federal New Democrats (and Waylon Smithers to Justin Trudeau’s Montgomery Burns), says he will not force a federal election over China’s attempts to subvert Canadian democracy until faith has been restored in our elections.
How does Singh not dislocate his neck flipping his head around so violently trying to talk out of both sides of his mouth at the same time?
Singh has supported calls by MPs for a public inquiry into China’s meddling in our elections — meddling aimed largely at aiding Justin Trudeau and the current Liberal government.
Singh has also voted with the majority in Parliament to ask Trudeau’s cover-up man, former governor general David Johnston, to resign over his obvious conflict of interest surrounding the China affair.
These two actions (plus a host of other statements and actions by Singh) signal the New Democratic boss sees the cause of this temporary loss of Canadians’ confidence as the presence in the office of Justin Trudeau and his party. Canadians sense several Liberals may be having their strings pulled by Beijing, so they have momentarily lost faith in the electoral process.
Yet Singh’s plan is to keep propping up the Liberals until Canadians’ faith is restored.
(Ouch! I just tried to repeat Singh’s logical gymnastics and I think I may have given myself a concussion.)
Singh insisting the Liberals must be left in place until the damage done by the China scandal can be corrected is the equivalent of a cancer surgeon insisting the tumour be left in place, untreated, until a longer-term cure for cancer can be found.
The Liberals are causing the plunge in Canadians’ faith with their claims there was no interference and their insistence that claims of interference were racist. Then they hired whitewash specialist David Johnston to try to make it all go away.
Singh, more than anyone else, is keeping the Liberals in office. So doesn’t it stand to reason that Singh is almost as much the reason for Canadians’ declining confidence as the corrupt Liberals?
Also, by reliably propping up the Liberals every time they land themselves in trouble, the Liberals have come to understand they don’t have to be accountable. Jagmeet will save them.

PS it can also be used as an eligible for pension timer

Censorship may lead to lack of information and subsequent development of apathy, ignorance, conformism and general stagnation. It may threaten democracy and encourage subversive activities... but worse is invisible censorship - it's alive and well.

Only greedy CEOs. What a wonderfully uncomplicated world.

J. Singh will go down in history as the main accomplice allowing the very minority government of the day's leader to personally destroy every thing Canadian in Canada.
In J. Singh's latest move, he is using the "rapporteur" issue as leverage for more free money programs and his desire to destroy Canada & Canadians by continuing to allow trudeau to print money and prop up the worse ever government in Canadian history, to expand population dependency, remove freedoms & selective vote buying, further ballooning the profiteering bureaucracy & gatekeeper payroll position holders, while bankrupting wealth creating taxpaying Canadians & Canada

https://www.msn.com/en-ca/money/topstor ... d0936&ei=7Sabrina Maddeaux: Jagmeet Singh winner of the worst housing policy of 2023
I thought federal Housing Minister Ahmed Hussen’s “just trust the mayors” and “housing isn’t political” screed was a shoe-in for worst housing take of the summer, but it only took one week for NDP leader Jagmeet Singh to outdo even him.
For all its many, many faults, Hussen’s argument at least toed the Liberal party line of supporting the status quo and propping up lottery-like housing gains. Singh’s inexplicably throws the NDP’s base of workers and younger voters directly under the bus — he might as well have advocated for executive bonus top-ups funded by taxpayers.
In a press conference purportedly meant to discuss affordability issues, Singh proposed the federal government enact “real solutions” and “aggressive steps” such as “forcing banks to give lower interest rates to families that are struggling” and a “subsidy for people who can’t pay their mortgage right now.”
While mortgage holders, especially ones who bought recently, are undeniably feeling the pain of higher interest rates, the demographic most harmed by increasing unaffordability is still those locked out of the market altogether. Renters are both watching home ownership get further and further out of reach and their own rents soar, minus any benefits of stability or equity growth.
The idea that the government should take tax dollars from low-income, working class and young Canadians and redistribute it to bolster the wealth of property owners, an increasing share of whom are multiple property investors, is nothing short of asinine.
The suggestion combines the worst impulses of socialist central planning with the worst winners-take-all compulsions of trickle-down economics.
In the words of economist and Smart Prosperity Institute senior director of policy and innovation Mike Moffatt, “A lot of housing policy proposals cross my desk. Some great, some less than great. This is, by far, the worst housing policy idea of 2023.”
Beyond the proposal’s innate rigged-market unfairness, it would further turbocharge unaffordability and increase the risk of a dangerous bubble collapse. It would also actively work against the Bank of Canada’s monetary policy and fuel inflation.
This is because it would further solidify the moral hazard of Canadian real estate: that it only goes up, investments will always be protected no matter how unwise, and borrowing and speculating have no consequences. Meanwhile, we end up with ever-widening wealth inequality, a sputtering economy that favours unproductive uses of capital and a population saddled with more and more debt.
Putting aside the obviousness that Singh doesn’t have any sort of handle on fiscal or monetary policy, an astute leader with bare minimum political instincts should’ve given his prepared remarks one glance and known they were completely out of touch.
However, tone deaf and out of touch seems to be the standard for left-leaning federal leaders these days. Also see Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland’s premature inflation victory lap , patting her party on the back even as grocery and home prices continue to surge upward.
Too many of our political class are wealthy elites who have no concept of what it’s like to work paycheque to paycheque, be downwardly mobile or even rent a home. Too many are inherently incapable of relating to average Canadians. They can’t even say the right things, let alone come up with the right policies.
The thing is though, as the author notes - Jagmeet's comments on housing were insanely stupid and he should have known better. But does the NDP's base even care? They just keep banging the same dumb drum about "income inequality" that somehow redistribution to wealthy people from poor people is going to solve. Yup, that's how clueless you have to be to support the NDP in this day and age.
You have to wonder, is Tricky Dicky from Penticky going to still want Jagmeet to campaign in his riding? Maybe the people of Penticton can convince Pierre to move to Penticton permanently, and finally that ugly orange splotch in the middle of the Okanagan can finally be purged from the federal political landscape.

Jagmeet is just saying what his horribly uneducated and gullible base want to hear. It's all about those "greedy CEO's" - if only they would just give away everything for free, the world would be so much better off. As usual, Jagmeet can't let a natural disaster go to waste and has to virtue signal about the man-made climate change myth. Hey, you freaking idiot, even if we spend $50 trillion in Canada on "green alternatives" (whatever that is) and all go live in caves we're not going to affect anything. But that's not going to stop spineless Jagmeet. No sir. "We have to do more" - more what Jagmeet?
Hey Jagmeet - instead of virtue signaling about fairy tales using the Indigenous to sell your "climate lies", why don't you campaign to get them clean drinking water? There's an actual tangible problem that we can actually solve, as opposed to myths about evil sky genies flying around starting fires.
https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/other/as ... b20f&ei=13As communities hit by wildfire ‘pick through the rubble,’ Jagmeet Singh calls on feds to do more on climate change
On his tour of K’atl’odeeche First Nation, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh was struck by one image: a ceramic white-and-blue teapot sitting in the ashes of what was once a home. The melted-metal foundations of the house stood like the dead trees that now surround the community, posing a danger to residents without their root structures intact.
“Families are still picking through the rubble to see if they can recover anything,” he told Canada's National Observer, adding cleanup and clearing is still needed for the damaged infrastructure and burnt-black trees.
To drive home the seriousness of the climate crisis, Singh travelled to the Northwest Territories on Tuesday to visit two communities on the front lines. The Dene community of K’atl’odeeche First Nation and the town of Hay River have been battered by climate-related emergencies for two years running. In 2022, the twin communities fled from historic floods that caused $174 million in damages to homes, businesses and infrastructure.
Then, in 2023, they were hammered by the other side of the climate seesaw with record-high temperatures, drought and a wildfire that devastated K’atl’odeeche First Nation.
On Tuesday, while fielding questions about an imminent Liberal cabinet shuffle, the NDP leader stood on the riverbed of the Hay River. He pointed to the climate crisis as the leading cause of extreme weather.
“The [Hay River] is at a record low level,” Singh said at the media availability. “This is serious: This is exactly what happens when extreme weather becomes a norm.”
Greenhouse gases trap heat around the planet like a warm blanket. The more greenhouse gases we release into the atmosphere, the thicker that blanket gets, the hotter the planet grows and the more the climate changes. Burning fossil fuels is one of the main ways humans add greenhouse gases to the atmosphere and drive climate change, which leads to hotter temperatures and creates conditions that help spark wildfires. Climate change also makes weather patterns more unpredictable, leading to an increase in extreme weather events.
On May 14, after a wildfire forced the K’atl’odeeche First Nation to evacuate to Hay River, the two communities were brought together by the unfolding emergency. By 11 o’clock that night, the fire jumped the river and an evacuation order was called for the entire township of Hay River, including for the K’atl’odeeche, who had to evacuate twice in one day.
K’atl’odeeche community members returned to find their band office burned to the ground and their community damaged. The community was already dealing with a housing crisis, which has now been exacerbated because of the wildfire, Singh said.

There's an actual tangible problem that we can actually solve, as opposed to myths about evil sky genies flying around starting fires.

What's the surprise? The lefts response to anything is to yell some "PHOBE" at people being critical of their poor behavior and policy.
