Justin's latest scandal: the McKinsey Affair

Post by Gone_Fishin »

Here we go again.

Commons needs to fully investigate Trudeau's huge contracts for McKinsey

Who runs the Trudeau government? Is it the politician we elect or the consultants that he then hires? It’s a valid question in light of the latest scandal to hit the government, massive contracts to a Liberal-friendly firm and complaints from bureaucrats that the consultants were really running the show.

This time the firm is McKinsey, a global consulting firm based in the United States but with swanky, high-priced Canadian offices just off of Bloor St. near Yonge St. in Toronto.

The trouble began for Trudeau when The Canadian Press reported on Jan. 3 that McKinsey had received $84 million in contracts between March 2021 and November 2022. That information came from an official government response to an order paper question submitted to the House of Commons by Conservative MP Tako Van Popta.

Days later, CBC not only reported on millions more in contracts given to McKinsey dating back to the early years of the Trudeau government, 30 times more than the company received under the Harper government, they also reported on the influence the company has been wielding on the Trudeau government.

“McKinsey was an idea from the government. The policy was decided for civil servants. It causes a lot of operational instability,” an anonymous source from Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada told CBC.

“These people, these firms forget the public interest, they’re not interested in it. They’re not accountable.”

Hiring consultants is something every government does. Expanding the number of consulting contracts and rapidly expanding the number of civil servants, though, is a feat Trudeau might have all to himself.

“We will look into this to ensure that everything was done in the right way, or whether we need to change or adjust any rules,” Trudeau said.

We don’t need the government investigating itself, we need the opposition to do that. The Trudeau Liberals have been big on promising cooperation with Commons committees, but they don’t actually follow through on that cooperation when the time comes.

Consultants will always be part of government, consultants on this scale, with this level of wealth from taxpayers is something we need to be worried about.

you have to wonder how many kick-backs various Liberal cronies are getting on these consulting deals. Big dinners, on Mckinsey, trips etc. Remember when Jack Layton and Olivia Chow were busted taking a trip to Disney World paid for by big unions? That's the NDP, that's what they do, and the Liberals are no different. The corruption here is so rife. Time to rid Canada of the Liberal disease, they just plain suck.

McKinsey has a corruption record that makes SNC look like angels.

From pushing opioids to financial scams including their creation Enron, they're just the type that Justin fits right in with.

Take a gander at this list, and of course these are just the ones we know about!

Is Justin taking sacks of cash with him on all these Barbados trips?

You have to wonder too how tied in these McKinsey guys were with Justin's buddies the Burger boys. This is all one giant stinky mess of awful corruption, that goes right to the top. How much money is Justin's bro and mom being paid by McKinsey?

It just never ends, does it? Our Daily Dose of news of corruption and more “lost forever” taxpayer money that of course, will be “investigated” by govt ‘pals’ garnering big bucks to salt away, out of sight.

It truly is sickening

and the brain-washed scum who never fail to support the Libs will just cheer and accept it.

2015: "We are cancelling the F-35 purchase"
Brain-washed scum: "All right!! Canada's back!!!"

2023: "We are buying F-35's for billions more than they would have cost us seven years ago when we canceled the contract"
Brain-washed scum: "All right!! We need new planes!!"

It just never ends.

One has to wonder if Trudeau's friends at McKinsey were involved in these decisions, and money trailing off into redaction.

Soros has admitted he has infiltrated our government, and a recent article put McKinsey as the second largest influencer of Canada's policies just behind scumbag Georgie.

What did McKinsey do in our federal elections to maintain their inside track to the piggy bank?
In a press conference, Poilievre said Canadians need to know “what influence McKinsey has had in our government” before calling for an official inquiry into the firm’s Canadian operations — a proposal that was immediately endorsed by both the NDP and the Bloc Québécois.

snip

This is far from the first time that McKinsey has faced a nation’s scorn for allegedly wielding an opaque and outsized influence in the operations of state.

McKinsey is currently the subject of a criminal probe in France on charges that they allegedly violated French campaign laws and played an unlawful role in the country’s 2017 and 2022 presidential elections.
