Let me rephrase that - how can this CONTINUE to happen in CanadaBabba_not_Gump wrote: ↑Jul 10th, 2023, 1:54 pmCome on George, where have you been ever since the last federal election.George Orwell 1984 wrote: ↑Jul 10th, 2023, 7:17 am https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/ ... y#comments
How can this happen in Canada?…..
To be honest though, this is not a surprise. Vancouver's mayoral election, same thing there.
And of course, Canada's election.
And both Chow and Trudeau claim to know nothing about it!![]()
But hey, I feel comfortable about Kamloops mayor.
We had better get used to this, Chinese communist interference in elections at all levels.

And it will continue and possibly stop after the next election, unless someone fiddles with numbers and voting requirements.
Oh, the word "fiddles" reminds me of a Roman ruler.

Oh yes, Nero purportedly fiddled while Rome burned, cleaning out the shanties and tenements that the commoners inhabited. According to sources that cannot claim to be unbiased, he “wanted” those acres for rebuilding a better, more updated and modern city. Was that goal achieved? Yes, in hindsight. He had good intentions.
But does our current federal govt have good intentions as they run rampant through our society where everyone, at the end of the day, is highly ticked off?

Our next emperors will consist of Chinese bureaucratsWhen the Roman senator Vindex rebelled, with support from the eventual Roman emperor Galba, Nero was declared a public enemy and condemned to death in absentia. He fled Rome, and on 9 June AD 68 he committed suicide. His death sparked a brief period of civil war known as the Year of the Four Emperors

Toronto wants a bailout from the provincial and federal governments claiming they are broke. So why do they have more than $8 million to pay for renaming Dundas Street?

The answer is simple. Canadians are uneducated, apathetic and weakGeorge Orwell 1984 wrote: ↑Jul 10th, 2023, 3:47 pmLet me rephrase that - how can this CONTINUE to happen in CanadaBabba_not_Gump wrote: ↑Jul 10th, 2023, 1:54 pm

Some may view my politically incorrect opinions as harsh and may be offended by them. Some think political correctness will be our undoing.

To be somewhat fair, the momentum on this renaming Dundas St thing started long before Olivia being mayor. But with costs understood now and as mayor, she has supported the idea.Gone_Fishin wrote: ↑Aug 20th, 2023, 1:05 pm Toronto wants a bailout from the provincial and federal governments claiming they are broke. It's just not worth the effort... So many properties having a new address, all the government (and corporate) records that need to change; all the personal records to be changed.
All because of political correctness and Lord Dundas having fallen out of favour.

Estimates are that there are between 60 and 100 streets in the GTA that offend certain turds who want to erase our country's history.Sonny Taylor wrote: ↑Aug 21st, 2023, 2:22 pmTo be somewhat fair, the momentum on this renaming Dundas St thing started long before Olivia being mayor. These expensive paint jobs by incompetent leftist politicians tend to distract from the fact that they are incapable of tackling issues that will actually help people: affordability, crime, addiction, housing, etc.

Mississauga gave Toronto the proverbial middle finger when they voted against changing the name, Whatever name Toronto chooses it will only go as far as the Mississauga border.

On Wednesday, Mississauga’s city council voted unanimously in favour of a motion to give no further consideration to renaming the thoroughfare.

Thanks for posting that. I forgot how far southwest of the city of Toronto the name Dundas St was consistent and contiguous.oneh2obabe wrote: ↑Aug 21st, 2023, 2:47 pm Mississauga gave Toronto the proverbial middle finger when they voted against changing the name, Whatever name Toronto chooses it will only go as far as the Mississauga border.https://toronto.citynews.ca/2022/01/20/ ... as-street/While Toronto is moving forward with renaming Dundas Street, the change will only go as far as the Mississauga border.
