NO, they care about what social media says they should be trending about and right now that is "if you give me money I can control the weather" and they are fool enough to believe it.

But, but, but

The planet is going to be just fine without us.

The issue isn't whether there have been harsher environments in the past, the issue is how we will manage the immigration nightmare once the presently warming earth makes it unbearable to live in the lower latitudes considering 40% of the world's population lives between the tropics.

Further exacerbating the problem is the prospect of sea levels rising up to 30m, considering 1 billion people live within 10m of sea level now.

Anyone here going to welcome these climate refugees with open arms?

Canada has plenty of unused space, they're all welcome here
How much will a complete halt to all of Canada's CO2 emissions affect global temperatures? That includes all vehicles, all industry, all natural resource extraction (coal, O&G, etc), and cow farts.

How much?

Just the number, please.

@ Bob Noble:

You don't need a politician to explain the workings of global climate to you Bob, why would you even suggest such a backward approach ? Find someone who actually knows a little bit of climate science and talk to them. Ask them to talk about "climate sensitivity" and the delicacy of the balance between different components of our atmosphere. And how a difference measured in parts per million can have far-reaching consequences such as what we are seeing around us today.

In other words, "Bob, only talk to someone who will support the CAGW narrative. Don't listen to any of the scientists who say there's no reason for alarm and this isn't an emergency - and stop asking politicians to justify what they're doing. Liberal Climate $cience requires our faith in the CAGW narrative. We thank you in advance for joining the faithful ignorant in promoting Liberal Climate $cience."

If these leftist Klimate Kooks on here have read the "science" and base their whole argument on it, why can't they tell us how much global temperatures will change if Canada stops every CO2 molecule of emissions?

Just the number, please.

Because these fools know that the total effect is zero, but that doesn't matter. What matters is their warm tummies, our ability (Canada) to say to the UN - "we are doing our share!!" while we continue to divert funding away from our commitments to NATO and look like giant fools while doing so. Funds should not be wasted on "fighting" fairy tales from our tax dollars. There is no benefit to anyone, only harm being done to Canadian citizens, daily, via inflation caused by these foolish carbon taxes and our debt continuing to be ramped up by idiotic spending on this total myth. It's a crime against humanity.

My goodness one would assume the climate science wasn’t available hundreds of years ago and these events occurred all on their own

Are you suggesting that there has been no progress in our understanding of how our climate works in the past "hundreds of years" ? The acceleration of atmospheric carbon dioxide content since the beginning of the industrial revolution is verifiable fact, and it is no coincidence that it has climbed with increased burning of fossil fuels.

The “progress” is now centred around extracting our tax dollars.

it also isn't true either.

There is the Keeling Curve, which is is a long-term graph that shows the rise of CO2 concentrations in Earth's atmosphere since the late 1950s. It's a key piece of evidence illustrating the relationship between human activities, particularly the burning of fossil fuels, and the increase in atmospheric CO2 levels.
