Let's look into the future.southy wrote: ↑Aug 8th, 2023, 3:04 pm WOW! Pretty harsh comments against JT. I wonder though if and when Justin is defeated and if by chance it happens to be Pierre … just how long is it going to take all you JT batches to do nosedives off Pierre’s bandwagon when he falls flat on his face. Remember, this is politics one day a hero the next day hated by many. Time will tell.
Pierre Poilievre is Prime Minister.
His first order of business will be to clean up the mess, and this will not be popular.
In fact it'll be a blood bath. Kinda like getting an Endoscopy or a rotten tooth pulled. Bend over. Open wide.
Where should he start?
Our debt. Billions upon billions. Do the feds really know where much of that money went? How will he do it? Cutting services?
CBC. Oh boy! Defunding. Will generally be popular but there will be a lot of "oh no, that's a national treasure." Boo hoo.
Federal employees. Start cutting, deep, really deep. Plenty of whining but absolutely necessary.
Federal Ministries. Do we really need them all? How many can be eliminated?
There could be 100,000 Federal employees terminated. That's life.
I could go on, but you get the idea. Often the guy who comes in to clean up the mess is not popular. But I'll be patient.

Oh, so there's some money for Soapy here...

Trudeau's separation agreement exempts Sophie from Conflict of Interest disclosures.
So, last year, Sophie registered a new federal corporation offering "communications services".
The "legal separation agreement" they signed exempts her from disclosing conflicts of interest.
So, she will be able to lobby Justin for government contracts while they are away on "family" vacations and not have to disclose to the Ethics and Conflict of Interest commissioner.

JT does like to use nondisclosure agreements, as seen with a family in Vancouver during his teaching days.
I don't give a damn whether people/posters like me or dislike me, I'm not on earth to win any popularity contests. I am an old cantankerousness grump that happens to be very opinionated.

Navel lint is smarter than Justin.

Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice. There’s a certain point at which ignorance becomes malice, at which there is simply no way to become THAT ignorant except deliberately and maliciously.

The barn door is open for Trudeauesq corruption. I doubt they'll appoint a commish for a while, since they know their time in power is rapidly ending they'll try to drain the public coffers as fast as possible.George Orwell 1984 wrote: ↑Aug 13th, 2023, 8:39 am

I wonder how Soapy will "lobby" Justin? Wave a copy of the West Point Grey NDA in his face?

Re: Justin and Sophie splitting up?
I for one, truly hope that his split with Sophie causes him great anxiety & pain.
In the beginning when Trudeau first got elected, I actually voted for him, I kinda thought that growing up in politics would be helpful for him.
Boy was I wrong.
In my opinion he has been the worst, absolute worst PM ever.
I have Zero respect for that *bleep* now.
He deserves a whole bunch of personal anguish in his life, as he has brought to so many others.
