Daddy will decide which news sources are trusted . Daddy will decide what we can watch , say or speak up on. Daddy will decide if you have been bad and have spoken out of turn. Daddy will decide to seize your bank account and keep you locked up until you dare not speak again. SUNNY WAYS indeed ! justins Canada

... and Facebook isn't censoring? Sometimes the enemy of your enemy is your friend, even when they're politicians you agree on nothing else with.Gone_Fishin wrote: ↑Sep 3rd, 2023, 11:53 am I'm looking forward to leadership that reverses the censorship Trudeau has foisted on Canadians. This was a huge miscalculation by the Liberals, thinking that their censorship would show them in a more favourable light. They grossly misjudged the intelligence of Canadians,

Liberal voters seem to thrive under Economic Lockdowns and Restrictions.
Stay at home, eat noodles and watch the death tolls on CTV CBC and other pre-approved Govt outlets.

Very modern, very fascist, yet very virtuous.

The only irony is that the people my signature applies to will be the last ones to know given the bubble they've been trained to stay inside. Time for Common Sense in Canada, and an end to the Trudeau Stupidity Plan.

Good. Social media and news should be separate. The algorithms show you what they see a pattern of, that you want to see. For many who use social media as their news source that's not a good thing. No caveats on views in that statement, I mean everyone. And it undermines journalists who are trying to do their jobs. Not reporters who just read the news, journalists who seek it out. We should be going to the source.Gone_Fishin wrote: ↑Sep 19th, 2023, 8:50 pm Time for Common Sense in Canada, and an end to the Trudeau Stupidity Plan.

Oh wait, yes, it's because they don't want regular Joes to know how badly Trudeau and Singh are effing up the country. But hey, pot is legal, so who cares?

The news isn't censored. Good lord. It's a click away. The news has never been more available ever.Gone_Fishin wrote: ↑Sep 19th, 2023, 9:07 pmNot sure why leftists want the news censored for Canadians.JLives wrote: ↑Sep 19th, 2023, 9:02 pm

Castanet forum has 515,916 members.
I'm sure none are duplicates.

And you don’t think people go to the sites that they agree with? Liberal leaning people will go to liberal leaning news sites, conservatives will go to conservative sites.JLives wrote: ↑Sep 19th, 2023, 9:02 pmGood. Social media and news should be separate. I got a lot more variety of news when I was seeing it on Facebook because I was seeing what others were posting. Liberal, conservative and everything in between. Now I only see what I actually seek out. I don’t sit on my search engine all day and search out all the different viewpoints on a topic.
What do you mean go to the source? What is the difference if someone posts a eg. castanet story on facebook or if I go to the castanet app and look at it there. It’s exactly the same. How does it undermine journalists trying to do their jobs when their stories are posted? Especially if they post it?

Still.
Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice. There’s a certain point at which ignorance becomes malice, at which there is simply no way to become THAT ignorant except deliberately and maliciously.
