That's a no brainer!
Of course they should.
Of course they should.
Never argue with a fool as those watching might not be able to tell the difference.

Do immigrants get housing or do they acquire it on their own by paying for it?

Should homeless vets get housing before immigrants?
Textbook example of a rhetorical question.

Exactly a rhetorical question that should never have to be asked.

Absolutely NO veteran should ever be homeless period, if so impo would be huge black mark on Veterans Affairs.
I don't give a damn whether people/posters like me or dislike me, I'm not on earth to win any popularity contests. I am an old cantankerousness grump that happens to be very opinionated.

Immigrants or refugees?
Not the same thing.
Veterans are taken care of in Canada.

Just like any other Canadian, mental health, substance abuse are factors contributing to their homelessness.

We can't house our own how can we house another million every year when we build only 300,000 homes.PoplarSoul wrote: ↑Aug 25th, 2023, 3:53 pm Immigrants or refugees?

It doesn't matter if they are immigrants, irregulars or illegals.

Yea, they're taken care of - yet on average Canadian veterans account for approximately 2% of the overall homeless population - approximately 2,000. The fact that financial difficulties is the same percentage as medical issues, right behind addiction as being the main cause is inexcusable, yet fully understanding from a Liberal government with a leader that heartlessly says veterans "are asking more than the government can give".PoplarSoul wrote: ↑Aug 25th, 2023, 3:53 pm Immigrants or refugees?

It's a problem.
But immigrants are not given housing on demand, as opposed to homeless veterans, like OP suggested.

Immigrants, illegals, border jumpers are put up in HOTELS near the Roxham Road entrance area.
We all remember the automatons running up and down Roxham Road, writing cheques to those residents for their ‘inconvenience’ of having illegals hammering on their doors at midnight. Gosh, that was only a couple of years ago so I’m sure no one has forgotten this story.
And surely no one has forgotten the words spewing from Putz’s lips at a forum (before his minions had to pick and choose those in attendance for his safety in not being scalped), “they ask for more than we can give”
Followed by years of dumping our taxed money into any filthy reservoir with a dictator, open-arms, ready to receive our bucks. No receipt required.
Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice. There’s a certain point at which ignorance becomes malice, at which there is simply no way to become THAT ignorant except deliberately and maliciously.
