Immigrants are not put up in HOTELS.

Asylum seekers and refugees are not immigrants.

Well, let’s just split hairs, ok?
Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice. There’s a certain point at which ignorance becomes malice, at which there is simply no way to become THAT ignorant except deliberately and maliciously.

Ah yes - they are “ immigration pioneers “ that just happen to have an open door with rcmp assistance to move them and their luggage to the nearest hotel . How foolish of me to assume they are immigrants.

Failure to recognize the difference between immigrants and refugees reveals so much about some of the posters.

Failure to recognize the sham of Roxham road and who is an immigrant and who is jumping the queue says a lot more from the posters on here . Would you like help with your luggage sir , here’s a nice hotel for you. Good grief open your eyes!

As long as we have a military-hating, politically correct, asinine Putz in charge, our homeless veterans will never be looked after.

PC requires that all others, never having contributed a drop of sweat, be first in line for accommodation.

Our Putz-Prince of political correctness will make sure of that, as he grandstands to the world just how caring he is of grifters before our Veterans.

Let them sleep in the streets!

Failure to acknowledge the Orwellian stupidity of calling illegal aliens "refugees" reveals so much about some posters.

^^^^^ exactly.
The 70's influx of Vietnamese REFUGE'S was just that, refuges.

The crossing at Roxham road is illegal entry into Canada and expelled asap. Start setting some precedents Canada!

The Canadian Vets should be awarded every opportunity with help to transition to private life and if that includes accommodation until they are ready to venture out on their own, so be it.

The wondering why the Canadian armed forces are struggling to fill the ranks should be a no-brainer. Post service support could very well be a component of this issue.

Agree that Roxham Road was a huge problem but the closure of Roxham Road will not stop asylum seekers from entering Canada.
They have been doing so since the 50's.
This thread is about homeless veterans versus immigrants.
Immigrants are not given housing on demand and are not put up in hotels.
Months after closure of Quebec's Roxham Road, more asylum seekers arriving by air. The closure of a rural southern Quebec road used by thousands of asylum seekers to enter Canada from the United States hasn't stopped would-be refugees from arriving, federal data shows.

Until the Putz called for one and all to come to Canada, Roxham Road was never a great problem.

To confuse the issue even more, he terminology for entrants is always changing and being recategorized to the point that not many can keep up with. Examples are

Cue jumpers
Asylum seekers
Immigrants
Financial migrants
Political refugees
Environmental refugees
Birth tourism

The fallout is that now Canada is dreadfully short of housing while more come pounding across the borderline, leaving our Veterans SOL in the crapshoot of finding housing.
