Yeah, so like I said, grab your friends and I'll grab mine so we can all get our MPs to defect and help form the party and then we can have the government right now.

Come on, let's go!

Actually there is considerable interest in a center right party with real policies and vision - especially as the prospect of a Smith/TBA/UCP - Poilievre/Reform/CPC axis of stupid is absolutely frightening to many folks - especially those who care about Canada and real patriotism.
The CFP seems to be striking a serious and thoughtful stance, and that's what many want - not the TikTok/YouTube partisan tomfoolery.

and yet the real reason for interest in this party is the Jagmeet/Justin/Liberal/NDP axis of stupid that is beyond frightening to everyone with a brain. It is good to have opposition in this country, but what we have now is going to be such a large Conservative majority thanks to weak Nazi-like leadership from the Liberals and NDP, that we will need a centrist party to pick up the pieces when both of those parties inevitably collapse under the weight of their own idiocy.
Emperor Carney now has the official endorsement of Donald Trump, twice. Let that sink in.
Canada is completely broken right now.

It's so great to see a reasonable alternative for small c conservatives to Poilievre the Trudeau and his far right CPC!
It's that special time of year when conservatives stupidly act like they're not allowed to say Merry Christmas.

This sounds more like a massive need to still support the Woke liberalist party, even after all this complete destruction to our country, than talking about another party.hobbyguy wrote: ↑Sep 28th, 2023, 1:39 pmActually there is considerable interest in a center right party with real policies and vision - especially as the prospect of a Smith/TBA/UCP - Poilievre/Reform/CPC axis of stupid is absolutely frightening to many folks - especially those who care about Canada and real patriotism.

What the country needs, or should we all agree, is a party that can support the left of center politics. A party of actual merit of skill, morals, accountability, good judgement, leadership ability. And really, just a party that can handle a day in existence with a complete failure.
Currently we have one hell of a great option for anyone sitting center, left and right, and that is the only party out there that can stand on its own two feet, the Conservative Party.
"If I find out who's been running this country for the last 8.5 yrs into the ground, there will be hell to pay",,,,,,,,,Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Re: The Canada Future Party: Will it be a threat?
No, actually the reason is very simple: most Canadians think and reason for themselves and don't spout partisan drivel. The Green Barbarian wrote: ↑Sep 28th, 2023, 1:49 pmand yet the real reason for interest in this party is the Jagmeet/Justin/Liberal/NDP axis of stupid that is beyond frightening to everyone with a brain. Most Canadians are moderate in their views and looking for a thinking and rational center right party as a potential political home/alternative.
Just look at how well the Bloc does by being a thinking and rational party with a Quebec flavor. The CFP can provide that in a national party.
From a partisan perspective, the CFP provides a political home for small c conservatives without all the extremist pandering nonsense. How refreshing.
The CFP would not embrace these people https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-66930536 whereas Pierre Poilievre and the CPC did.
