No equality would be the father can go after child support or leave at a hospital or church just like the mother.

It's two separate issues. The father will never have to grow a human being in their body and deal with the physical consequences of that. Please start new thread on child support. This one is about bodily autonomy of women. We're not talking about men here. I know that's hard for them to not be the topic but this one's just for the women affected.

It's funny how you seem to fing men responsible for making a baby and the women blameless. It takes two.

There's no blame here aside from restricting women's human rights. This is an abortion thread. Sorry men, this one's not for you aside from being supportive of us and abortion laws. If you don't want women in your life to deal with this issue, vasectomy is an option for you.

At least I agree on that last part, after a couple kids it's the easiest and best call, but the same can be said to women. Don't want an abortion, get your tubes tied.

All banter aside I still think the states are dummies on this, I can logically see the argument they made, but the reality is that the bulk of their population is against this change.

On the other hand doing this quite possibly will change a slam dunk republican sweep this year into a Democrat one.

So some want all men to basically support their view on abortion, despite the fact that millions of women disagree with them. Interesting, yet not very realistic unfortunately.

I think you underestimate the total number of people, women especially, in the US, who are against abortion. But yes, this could move the needle a bit for the Dems, we will see. First step is basically putting Kamala and Joe on house arrest. Every time those two open their mouths, the Dems drop another point in the polls.

If there are women (or men) who are against abortion, they simply don't have to get one. Let women decide what they want to do with their uterus (or ovaries). Yes some women opt for tubes tied or hysterectomy. These also are personal decisions which other people should mind their own business.

I think you underestimate how much that doesn't matter when the discussion is about rights. There's only one opinion on your body that matters, your own. As someone who's right to their own body hasn't been voted by anyone but yourself I don't think you quite grasp that enough.

I'm not arguing with you. What you should be doing is debating women who disagree with your pro-abortion views. Why do millions of women want to restrict abortion access? If all women were on the same page, then these rights would be granted pretty quickly, as the votes would be overwhelming in favor of abortion rights being enshrined.

Men can all sit on the sidelines as instructed. Still doesn't solve your problem.

Again with the silly personal attacks. There's something you are deliberately not grasping. Millions of women disagree with you. Grasp that.

There are no physical consequences to paying 18 years of child support to a child that you don't get to see, and the mother has poisoned the child against you? Really? The male suicide rate adamantly disagrees with you.

Again, no man should support a "women's right to chose" without also supporting /advocating for men to enjoy the same ability to opt out of paternal responsibilities.

The fact that you would suggest that the two issues are unrelated is alarming. The idea of chaining a woman to a bed and making her have a baby is absolutely egregious to you...but yet we throw men in jail every day who don't pay child support.

Additionally how many children are born only because the mother knows that someone's going to pay for it. The data on single family upbringing is quite clear children raised in single family households are disadvantaged compared to those who are raised in dual parent households. This reaches all the way to crime rates Social Services and tax expenditures.

Too many unwanted babies and too many "spite" babies are being born just because women know it's a guaranteed paycheque.
