Oklahoma police arrested an 18-year-old woman who’d allegedly purchased an assault rifle and told a co-worker she intended to gun down 400 people at her former school.

Pizza parlor employee Alexis Wilson, 18, of Tulsa, showed a colleague video of her firing an AK-47 in a rifle range and told that co-worker she was planning to shoot current pupils at McAlester High School, Pittsburg County Sheriff Chris Morris told the Daily News.

An anonymous tipster alerted cops to the incident.

According to Morris, Wilson recently purchased an AK-47, which they found in her home along with a 12-gauge shotgun and ammunition for both. Witnesses said Wilson told them she’d purchased an AR-15, which is a gun frequently used in mass shootings, including the 2018 slaughter at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla. Morris believes that was a misunderstanding and that no AR-15 was found.

Kinda misleading hey? Trudeau wants to ban military type assault weapons which includes AR-15s as they have been used in the past....that would be apparent if the graph didn't stop at 2015.

If it was up to the CONs, they would have no problems with every citizens owning one of these....for hunting of course

Canada’s governing Liberals have proposed a set of new gun control measures that would ban military-style assault rifles, including the AR-15. They contend these weapons “are specifically designed to inflict mass human casualties and have no place in Canadian society.”.

The response from gun groups has been vitriolic. The National Firearms Association, for example, says that the Liberals’ gun proposals are an “attack on the rights, freedoms and property of Canadians.”.............

The Conservative Party of Canada has been especially cozy with gun groups in recent years and opposes the proposal to ban assault-style firearms, including the AR-15. In fact, Conservative MP Bob Zimmer tabled a petition in 2016 calling for the AR-15 to be reclassified as a non-restricted firearm.

The future availability of the AR-15 and similar guns in Canada therefore appears to rest on the results of the upcoming federal election.............

Some gun advocates claim the gun has never been used in Canadian criminal activity. That’s inaccurate.

In 1982, Saskatoon police shot 18-year-old hostage-taker Richard Landrie after a lengthy standoff. Landrie was dressed in battle fatigues and armed with an AR-15. He fired 50 rounds during the standoff, shooting off one of his hostage’s fingers.

Media reports also indicate that AR-15s have been seized in several drug raids, taken from alleged bank robbers in British Columbia, involved in a 2009 murder and employed in the 2004 drive-by shooting of Louise Russo in suburban Toronto as she waited in line to buy a sandwich for her daughter.

Other shooters have used similar semi-automatic guns to kill multiple victims.

Most notoriously, the Montreal massacre shooter used a semi-automatic Ruger Mini-14 when he murdered 14 women in 1989

This shooting really should rock the World, if it hasn't escaped you all nine American/Mexican citizens got murdered on Mexican soil via being shot then burned to death.

My theory is that they were escaping a threat via extortion. Now the article claims farmers from around that area got extorted for money by the cartels but does not say if the Mormons were also signaled out for protection monies to be paid. That is a detail I went looking for. If you want a good article on the historical background, go the British, which I did. The BBC has truly broken this shooting down. Do you believe it was an "accident" like the Mexican journalists/government would have you to believe? The British journalist sure isn't buying that.

To me, the article says that the Mormons cross the border all the time. But in these numbers? I'm thinking they got a message and the adults tried to get the children out of the country. And the cartels, crafty drug money fuelled organization that they are, knew exactly what was happening.

The cartels are winning. Pray they never take a foothold here.

And Trump says, "time to declare WAR on the Cartels"? Does he not know thousands have brutaly died in the previous war against them? Oh right, he's the one who advocates for the Wall to be bigger and stronger. This is the only big issue I have agreed with Trump on. The Cartels are "bad hombres" and he's called it.

A very revealiing article, 100 people have left for safety in a convoy of 18 vehicles, I take it protected vehicles this time. The BBC article states there are approxiamately 5,000 Mormons in North of Mexico. I learn new stuff all the time, never knew that, never knew they had spoken out against cartels before, until now.

Also the FBI have no permission to be able to carry out self defence via guns?
