Pakistan: why?

Post by Queen K »

Why did Pakistan allow Osama Bin Laden live in a compound with a mansion in it? And close to a Pakistani Military Base?

Why did Pakistan allow the USA to lose dozens of secret operatives in missions in Afghanistan and Pakistan when they had Osama holed up in a cushy mansion this whole time?

Do we really know anything about Pakistan? It's like waking up next to a spouse and finding out he's the local murderer that day.

What is the next move for the US/Pakistani relations? And does the fact that Pakistan have nuclear weapons factor into this?

And like someone else pointed out, how much US aid went to Pakistan helping them with floods a few years back? And they still knew where Osama was.

Interesting that at first the news media said Pakistan helped kill Osama, and yet later, we learn they had no idea that the US was on their soil in the form of secret operatives.

So what is next with Pakistan? http://www.dailymail.com/News/statenews/201105021441

Pakistan: Why not?
You cannot reason someone out of a position that they did not use reason to arrive at.

Very interesting read from India.

Neb, why not? Are you losing it? Why not hide Osama and give out vague intelligence that he is in some remote Northern location when he's in a cushy home close to the military base?

OH ya, and the US sends Pakistan several billion per year to prop it up. Add that money to the billions to Egypt and the billions to Israel and no wonder the US is collapsing at this very moment. But relations are tense and always were.

Not just any compound but a special one indeed. The final joke on the US taxpayer is that it may have been built with their tax dollars.

First of all, Osama was in a nice mansion because there were no Saddam style spider holes for sale
at the time.

Secondly, Pakestan allowed USA to waste their time and money, and to kill people in Afghanistan,
because Pakistan just doesn't like USA.

And third, we just don't know anything about Pakistan - they could be a murderer. We wouldn't have no way of knowing.
There are people who live in the hills of Pakistan, and USA actually paid Pakistan $4 million dollars to go kill those hill people
(Musharraf). So we know hill people are bad, but Islamabad city people of Pakistan could be good or bad - we just don't know.

If Pakistan has nuclear weapons, like one weapon of mass destruction for every million WMDs USA has,
then that is a bad thing. It's much better if Pakistan has zero WMDs. But even if a country has no WMDs like
Afghanistan, we still spend $billions on wars in those countries, because of the hill people I
was talking about earlier. Hill (mountianous)people can not be trusted. But now we see city people (Islamabad) can
not be trusted either.

So who can USA trust? Maybe that is the reason all the wars are started by uSA - because you just
can't trust anyone anymore. They could be murderers. :runforlife:

United States cannot buy loyalty or trust From any country. These countries will accept their money But behind closed doors They're always looking for a way To doublecross them.

The Pakistanis are in a very interesting position right now. Either they knew he was there Or their military is extremely incompetent And corrupt.

Where has Osama being hiding???????? :eyeballspin:????????? in a luxury compound a couple hundred yards away from the Pakistani military Academy :200:

Maybe he wasn't there at all. Remember when Colin Powell thought Saddam had WMDs?
Well, the guys who were telling Colin Powell what to say, where 100% criminal liars. But
of course Obama is such a nice trustworthy man, he wouldn't have rats lying to him. Would he?

I was watching PBS news hour the other night, and both panelists said it was unlikely that the Pakistani government.intellegence services knew that OBL was in Pakistan the entire time he was there, and its unlikely the government was complicit in helping him hide in the country. They said however, that its entirely possible that at some point in the last five years, they found out he was in the country, and decided to ignore it, because of the potential domestic political fallout if they just handed him over to the Americans.
IMHO, I doubt its a big massive government cover-up, more likely is that there are a few corrupt/easy to bribe politicians/military folks/intellegence people who were aware.
Pakistan is obviously still in the wrong, whatever, but I'm really sick of (most) US media implying that Pakistan's been hiding him for the better part of a decade.
If common sense was common, it wouldn't be called common sense.

They are thinking since 2005 and that a small number of inner military officials knew of his presence. When you read of the huge number of people working on the emails, cell phones, data, computers and documents, you know more people will be found complicit.

And funny that the USA still thinks of Pakistan as very important for relations cuz of the war in Afghanistan because they should now get out of there.

Time for Canada and the US to get out of that region. I'm fine with our training mission in Afghanistan but after that we get out. Let them all kill each other if they like. Enough already with our blood being spilled over there.

So Pakistan is SO important to the USA, everyone in the Obama Admin. is willing to pretend NO ONE in the Pakistani intelligence, army or government knew of Osama Bin Laden living beside a military base.

NO ONE.

And everyone likes it that way because US/Pakistani relations are too important to blow.

OMIGOD.

Oh, and who wants to bet Obama's wives are undergoing severe treatment right now because Pakistan is afraid they know something that they will tell the US agents.
