Hey GordonH...this is where they possibly got the info.

University of Utah

Ongoing Yellowstone Earthquake Swarm North of West Yellowstone, MT.

June 26, 2017 UPDATE: The University of Utah Seismograph Stations (UUSS) is monitoring an earthquake swarm which is currently active on the western edge of Yellowstone National Park. The swarm began on June 12th, 2017 and, as of 09:40 MDT on June 26th, 2017, is composed of 878 events with the largest magnitude of ML 4.4 (MW 4.4) (Figure 1). The swarm consists of one earthquake in the magnitude 4 range, 5 earthquakes in the magnitude 3 range, 68 earthquakes in the magnitude 2 range, 277 earthquakes in the magnitude 1 range, 508 earthquakes in the magnitude 0 range, and 19 earthquakes with magnitudes of less than zero. These events have depths from ~0.0 km to ~14.5 km, relative to sea level. At the time of this report, there were 121 felt reports for the M4.4 event that occurred on June 16, 2017 at 00:48:46.94 UTC (June 15, 2017 at 18:48:46.94 MDT). The M4.4 event has an oblique strike-slip moment tensor solution (Figures 1 & 2).

When this super volcano (not if) does happen, it will have a huge impact on this planet and the climate will be changed.
There's not damn thing we can do about it.

Kelowna is 885+/- Kms away from Yellowstone (straight line)
I don't give a damn whether people/posters like me or dislike me, I'm not on earth to win any popularity contests.

Experts have dismissed reports that the series of small earthquakes that have shaken the lakeside town of Ohrid are awakening a long extinct volcano.

Alaskan volcano erupts again, leading to aviation warning

Spewed an ash cloud up to 30,000 feet

Image

The volcano sits under the flight path of many flights from Asia to North America and its ash cloud could adversely affect aircraft.

"Ash and aircraft do not mix, as volcanic ash is abrasive, melts at jet engine temperatures, and can cause engine failure," the United States Geological Survey says.

The aviation color code remains at red.

Alaska is rocked by two earthquakes 500 miles apart as the state reaches nearly 10,000 recorded micro-quakes over the past three months

Two earthquakes hit the North and South of Alaska on Monday around 10pm
Seismic eruptions failed to cause any damage, with a magnitude of 3.2 and 4.4
Alaska has been hit with nearly 10,000 earthquakes since May
The Alaska Earthquake Center says that Alaska experiences over 35,000 earthquakes and aftershocks a year

Mt Sinabung erupts, causes earthquakes

Medan, N. Sumatra (ANTARA News) - Mt Sinabung, located in Karo district, North Sumatra province, Thursday erupted at 7.20 a.m. local time, causing 386 seconds of tectonic earthquakes in some nearby areas.

Chief of National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said here that following the eruption, the volcano spewed ashes 3.5 thousand meters into the air, while discharging lava 1 thousand meters to the mountains southern region.

Earlier on Wednesday, the volcano spewed ashes 1.5 thousand meters into the air and causing six tremors, 20 volcanic earthquakes, and one tectonic earthquake.

In Wednesdays eruption, since 12 p.m. local time, the volcano spewed ashes 700 meters into the air, while releasing lava 1 thousand meters to the east and the southeast.

Hauntingly beautiful image of a lightning strike shooting from a volcano's ash cloud has earned Sergio Tapiro Velasco the title of 2017 National Geographic Travel Photographer of the Year. Mexico-based Velasco's aptly named 'The Power of Nature' won both the nature and grand-prize categories, selected from over 15,000 entries from more than 30 countries.

91 Volcanoes Found Under Arctic Ice, Big Blow To Climate Alarmists

Image

In addition to the 47 volcanoes already known about currently “sleeping” under the Arctic ice, scientists have found more. They discovered 91 additional volcanoes in Antartica, now the largest volcanic region on earth. This is a big blow to those who think melting polar ice is the sole fault of humans.

The project, by Edinburgh University researchers, has revealed almost 100 volcanoes. The highest discovered volcano is as tall as the Eiger, a popular peak to traverse in the Swiss Alps, which stands at almost 4,000 meters (over 13,000 ft) in Switzerland. Before this discovery, the densest concentration of volcanoes in the world was that of east Africa’s volcanic ridge. Geologists say this huge region in Antartica is likely to dwarf that of Africa.

You won’t read about this in the mainstream media. Because volcanic eruptions may not reach the surface in Antartica, but they definitly melt the ice from beneath and drastically destabilize the entire region. No amount of carbon tax or global warming initiative would stop a volcano from melting polar ice, but that likely won’t stop alarmists from blaming volcanic activity on global warming.

Hitting a little close to home...more earthquakes the more volcanoes re-open.

Did this extincted volcanoe cause the largest landslide in Canadian history????

The last volcano to have exploded in Canada, Mount Meager in British Colombia, is cracking, collapsing and potentially threatening the safety of people who live in the region

This is spectacular. It’s not often you get to see underneath the bottom of a glacier. The glacier sits on top of the last volcano to explode on Canadian soil: Mount Meager, northwest of Whistler, B.C. But the fact that it erupted just over 2,400 years ago does not mean it’s past its potential to blow again. That’s just the blink of an eye in geological terms. Now, the combination of the volcano and its shrinking glacier has drawn scientists to read the signals, the body language of the mountain in hopes of knowing when the next eruption will happen.
