Here I thought there was nothing lower than a snakes belly in a rut in a ditch. I was wrong.

Krakatau's kid (Anak Krakatau) just did something disastrous and caused a tsunami killing at least 62, including band members of the pop band "seventeen".

Over 600 injured.

Looks like it's still a thing. Here's the longer version of one of the clips in your BBC story.

We have a Grand Minimum about to start in 2020, and two large volcanoes erupting. Krakatoa, and Mt Etna. NASA and other scientists say there is a mechanism in which solar activity can trigger such terrestrial events. The largest volcanic eruptions happen during solar minimums.

Volcanoe Katla is charging up for an eruption.

It will be Interesting to see how a grand solar minimum will affect earth. This is a once in a lifetime event.

Yep, plus any co2 targets can be thrown out of the window with each erupting volcano.

Only about 1/4 of it's original size.
This is just the start of a whole bunch of deaths due to people living on, besides and near volcanoes.

Anak Krakatau now has a volume of 40-70 million cubic metres and lost 150-180 million cubic metres since the Dec. 22 eruption and tsunami, according to Indonesia's Center for Volcanology and Geological Disaster Mitigation.

The upside, Anak's parent shaved 1.2 C off the global temperatures and is somewhat linked to record rainfalls in California. Downside, it also caused acid rain and disrupted weather patterns for about 5 years.

Jlabute, you might enjoy "suspicious observers" youtube channel.

He’s been on this topic for years and has created an earthquake watch channel that affirms much of what you just posted. I personally think he’s playing to the doom porn crowd, but that’s not to say he doesn’t have a lot of good information in his daily updates. His production values are great and the information he presents is current and from valid sources. All in all, I keep an eye on his channel, find it both informative and entertaining – even if I am a bit of a suspicious observer.

One erupting volcano will barely put a dent in CO2 targets. The amount given off from them just isn’t even in the same league as what we produce ourselves through vehicles etc. All the volcanoes and hydrothermal vents in the world don’t even equate to 1% of the CO2 generated by human activities each year.
