Potentially scary part to all of this is there is slab of rock about twice the size of Island on Man, if it dislodges could create a MegaWave that would wipe out many parts of US east coast.

This fissure has been a concern for some time now, it only matter of time that it lets go. Seismic activity is only going speed things up.
Geologists have been warning about this fissure for number of decades now.

Just want to say that the Canary Isand of La Palma has had a deterioating volcanic situation today.

Stronger emissions, a new vent and a 1,000 more people evacuated in an everwidening evac zone.

Live stream shows an extremely volitile situation happening with ash clouds causing more flights to be cancelled.

Althought a few days ago the experts were saying lava will not reach the Atlantic afterall, the next report says this eruption could go on til December, it's anyone's guess. And look at the coastline of La Palma, it's a shelf of basalt. Seriously a shelf.

btw do happen to know what a fissure actually is, free flowing lava could be what is needed.
