Trump discussion

Post by Queen K »

The Trump Administration: First Hundred Days with Rays of Sunshine! proved to be too long. Darn!

All I know is that When we wake up tomorrow morning, we will have a new American adminstration for trade, communication and border issues, what ever they may be.

This thread is dedicated to all that is new with President Donald Trump, what happened in Inaugauration Day, the good, the bad and the ugly. The protests, the reconciliaration. And the first Hundred Days and beyond.

If we believe what some say, all we have to do is pull up a chair and be entertained, but I don't think it's going to be that simple or easy. Trade wars are brewing and Canadians are in the thick of it.

And if anyone can find anything :sunshine: sunshiney in all this, please illuminate to the best of your ability.

BANNED: NDP, Trudeau (unless in context), Clintons (They're both old news), Obama (unless in context of Trump destroying Obama's legacy), colouring books, safe spaces, safety pins and snow.

As WW3 develops, no one is going to be dissing the "preppers." What have you done?

This one that I posted elsewhere: https://www.washingtonpost.com/video/politics/rick-perrys-confirmation-hearing-in-three-minutes/2017/01/19/5aeb9e30-de83-11e6-8902-610fe486791c_video.html

Rick Perry surprised me pleasantly with his thoughtful and adult acquittal of himself in the hearing, now that he fully understands his new responsibilities. I never thought I would be seeing Rick Perry as "ray of sunshine", but there ya go. He seems to want to take his new responsibilities seriously and with the intent of doing a good job.

Meet the Trumps: America's new first family

Melania Brought up in Slovenia, Donald Trump's third wife is the first foreign-born US first lady in two centuries. It is unclear how public a role she will play, though she promises to be a "traditional" first lady "like Jackie Kennedy" and says she wants to advocate against internet bullying and to help women in poverty.

She wants to advocate against internet bullying. Does that include Twitter?

Ivanka Trump's 35-year-old daughter Ivanka is moving to Washington, suggesting that America can expect a prominent first daughter: businesswoman, mother of three and favorite child of the incoming president.

Favorite child of the incoming president. In fact, he once said he would “do her”

Jared Kushner Ivanka's husband, the 36-year-old baby-faced property developer and magazine publisher, has risen stratospherically to become one of the most powerful men in government with a starring role in his father-in-law's White House. He moved the family real estate business into Manhattan after his father was jailed for tax evasion, witness tampering and illegal campaign contributions.

Good thing we’re eliminating corruption and nepotism in Washington

Don Jr. and Eric Trump's two eldest sons are officially staying in New York and running the Trump Organization in their father's absence. Technically they are not supposed to discuss business with their father

Yup, good thing we’re eliminating corruption and nepotism in Washington

Trump’s Cabinet doesn’t look much like America. It looks more like his voters.

With the announcement that he was nominating former Georgia governor Sonny Perdue to lead the Department of Agriculture, Donald Trump's Cabinet is complete. There'd been rumors that Trump was looking to find a Hispanic candidate to fill the position, but that didn't happen. Which means, as our Ed O'Keefe notes, that Trump's is the first Cabinet since 1980 in which no member is Hispanic.

That's interesting in part because the country itself has gotten so much more diverse since Ronald Reagan was elected. In 1980, about 6 percent of the population was Hispanic and about 80 percent of the country was white. (The Census Bureau tallies the two groups separately; this article uses the term “white” to refer to non-Hispanic whites.) In 2015, only 62 percent of the country was white — and 18 percent was Hispanic.

That said, Trump's Cabinet — mostly men, mostly white — does resemble another group of people: Those who voted for Donald Trump.

Unfortunately for America, most voters stayed home. However bad the Trump presidency turns out for that country,
Americans have the government they deserve.

He said that did he? Was that about the same time that he wasn't calling all Mexicans rapists or the time he wasn't making fun of a disabled reporter?

Just watching CNN right now, waiting to see Obama leave the White House for the final time. Been waiting 8 years for that glorious sight.

ah race baiting. The fun never ends. What did Jim Brown say when CNN tried to bait him into a negative comment about Trump's cabinet? Hmmm....

As recently as a September 2015 Rolling Stone article, Trump bragged,

“Yeah, she’s really something, and what a beauty, that one. If I weren’t happily married and, ya know, her father…”

I don’t know what is going to be more painfully embarrassing to watch: Trump continuing to expose himself as the most woefully unprepared and unqualified person to be president ever, or the poor dupes who desperately endure to try and make excuses for their continued support. Ah well, it is all great entertainment and does promise to be terrific :smt045

I think he could have accomplished alot more if the opposition did not vote everything down. I can't imagine trying to run a business as large as the USA and having all your efforts for not.

Surprising how many people fail to know how the inside working of Government are and yet make comments such as this.

IF there was anything Obama could be criticized about in my views was his lack of effort on Police Lives Matter. He might have been able to avoid all of the rioting and issues with the color challenge is he would have interjected on the Michael Brown incident which he failed to do.

Oh well I wish Mr. Trump luck, we as Canadians hopefully won't have a wall on trade put in our way.

Lots of god stuff and god blessings and christian jesus and heavenly father stuff in the inauguration ceremony.
Imo it has no place in it.
If it does, they should include all the rest of the religions and hocus pocus.

Church and govt shouldn't mix.

I have already gotten lots of entertainment out of this morning. Watching Obama leave the White House was a welcome sight, and then while that was going on, they split-screened on CNN to show a haggard Hillary trying to put on a brave face. That was awesome!!
