But Averagejoe, you are implying that he got shot for trying to uncover some secrets. That's not true in the slightest.

They are the same speech. At least they start exactly the same. Where in your version does he say that a secret society controls America?

That's a joke right. First of all its a recording so nothing watch and secondly, it's pretty obvious you haven't listened yourself. Listen to mine and then yours, they're the same unless he said the same speech twice and made changes in yours. That why I asked where he says what you claim, it's important so we can see the context.

Added. The site metabunked looks into the origin of JFK's apparent quote. https://www.metabunk.org/debunked-there ... -jfk.t319/

The first step in debunking a quote is to find the original source. In this case the debunking is easy, because there is no original source.

Kennedy never said that. It's a made-up quote.

Well, at least he supports the research (see signature)

"You" or "we are"? Kinda confusing joe.
Did you mean to say "you're" just like the rest?

sorry, couldn't resist

It’s ironic Joe continues to perpetuate this “anti-globalist” nonesense while posting on a Canadian forum on the World Wide Web about American politics using electronics manufactured and assembled internationally, and continuing to support a president who just gave a bailout to China under the guise of protecting Chinese jobs.

It's funny how so many conservatives don't get that this was a satire railing against everything Archie stood for. Carroll O'Connor was a progressive, liberal thinker who was the opposite of the character he played on screen. It is based on a British show, Till Death do us Part, which too was a satire sending up old-fashioned and what was outdated thinking even then in the 60s, again taking the *bleep* out of the patriarch of the family, Alf. This is just one of the many cases of where certain groups fail to understand that the comedy is lampooning their thinking and laugh along as if they are in on the joke. This was true with the Colbert Report, and Harry Enfield and his satire of Thatcherism.

There is an excellent episode of Revisionist History on the very topic:

Interesting, given that we have access to an unprecedented amount of information from the past. Libraries, the internet, universities, all places for people to learn history and research a wide range of information regarding different times and cultures.

Meanwhile those on the right rally against universities, or information that challenges their faith. They champion regimes of the past who practiced book burning, and they try to retcon history, claiming things such as that the civil war was not about slavery (in the face of written testimonials and declarations from those states who directly mention slavery as their reasoning)
