Something tells me a single US ship out of dozens parked around their country can easily intercept whatever missile they make out of sticks and duct tape. Not the most advanced weaponry given total embargo on materials, technology, and financial funds.

But they need an evil dictator story to scare the general public.

Not important to them yet. I believe China is getting plenty of it's "rare earth" minerals from N. Korea.

If the US let China know what military installations are targeted with a nuclear retaliatory strike, perhaps then China just might make a bit of a fuss towards N. Korea. Two things China does not want, the US on their door step and millions of N. Korean refugees streaming into their country.

Jeez, rather than threatening people, why doesn't Trump just invite the North Korean leadership to talks on neutral territory to find out why they're being so belligerent? Maybe they're afraid of the *bleep* in the White House. Technically, there's only a truce between North and South Korea. Maybe the uber paranoid North Koreans are afraid an invasion is imminent. Threatening them with "fire and brimstone" probably isn't the best approach for any world leader to take.
