“So I just heard that they broke into the office of one of my personal attorneys, a good man and it's a disgraceful situation. It's a total witch-hunt. I've been saying it for a long time. …

And it's a disgrace, it's a real disgrace. It's an attack on our country in a true sense. It's an attack on what we all stand for. So when I saw this and when I heard it, I heard it like you did, I said that is really now in a whole new level of unfairness. …

Lol. As Daily Kos puts it “Having a search warrant approved at multiple levels is not “breaking in.” Following legal procedure is not “an attack on our country” in any sense. ”

Yesterday Trump was taking questions when a reporter asked if he had sex with Stormy and Trump responded, "why don't I just fire Mueller", pretending that was the question. What I find most fascinating about this sort of hogwash is how often Trump gets away with insulting his base's intelligence. Makes me wonder if there is any intelligence among his supporters to insult.

Raid on Trump’s Lawyer Sought Records of Payments to Women

<snip>

The early-morning searches enraged Mr. Trump, associates said, setting off an angry public tirade Monday evening that continued in private at the White House as the president fumed about whether he should fire Mr. Rosenstein. The episode has deeply unsettled White House aides, Justice Department officials and lawmakers from both parties, who believe the president may use it as a pretext to purge the team leading the investigation into Russia meddling in the 2016 election.

FBI raids Trump lawyer Michael Cohen's office, seizes Stormy Daniels documents, bank records

<snip>

One source familiar with the matter told CNN that included in the documents authorities seized was information related to Stephanie Clifford, better known as porn actress Stormy Daniels, who alleges she had an affair with Trump in 2006 that the White House has denied. A source familiar with the matter said the search warrant was very broad in terms of items sought, and another source said the search included bank records.

To sum up:

The ‘catch 22’ is that if Cohen made a payment on behalf of Trump (his client) without Trump’s knowledge, then Cohen could be disbarred.

So if Trump denies knowledge of the payment, that could toast Cohen.

But if he fully admits that he knows about the payment, made on his behalf, which it seems he indicated on the plane . . ..

Probably the same reason that media uses celebrities celebrity names rather than their real names.

Is she getting paid for her story by media she is a *bleep* who will do anything for money. Trump likely had sex with her
many leaders have had a past Kennedy's, MLK, Clinton, the list is endless. I hope that being POTUS makes Trump a better man
I worry about the public's fascination with actors and the characters they play on TV and movies like Trump did and how people believe that the character is real. I am happy I never had to pick between Trump and Clinton.

IMHO being POTUS has NOT made Trump a better man - nothing can make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. The man's arrogance and belief that he is God has grown exponentially since his "win" for President and he is a destroyer. His desire to play President is slowly destroying his family's lives as well and yet he continues to seethe and attempt to chest-bump his way through the mockery he has made of the Presidency.

Great discription of the no win situation Cohen finds himself in. It's just the latest example of Trump's panache for throwing those loyal to him under the bus when it suits him. The only question now is whether Cohen will accept the consequences of remaining loyal, or is going to turn against the employer who made him the fall guy for a one night stand with a porn actress.

LOL, that’s a tough one to bet on.

But maybe ‘David Dennison’ will step in and say he authorized the payment?

In that case, I might bet there could be an undercover operation to find a doppelganger for ‘David’ and his . . .. Um . . . well . . . you know . . .. The alleged evidence that Stephanie Clifford may have on that alleged DVD.

Oh, and, I forgot to mention that the Karen McDougal and National Enquirer thing may be part of this mix too.

And it looks like you know how Catch-22 ended, hey?

By the end of the book, just about every other member of his squadron has been killed, disappeared, gone AWOL or otherwise removed.

Looks familiar: Sketch of man who allegedly threatened Stormy Daniels resembles Tom Brady
