Mystery object that flew past Earth could be an alien spacecraft, Harvard paper claims

A mysterious cigar-shaped object spotted tumbling through our solar system last year may have been an alien spacecraft sent to investigate Earth, astronomers from Harvard University have suggested.

The object, nicknamed 'Oumuamua, meaning "a messenger that reaches out from the distant past" in Hawaiian, was first discovered in October 2017 by the Pan-STARRS 1 telescope in Hawaii.

With everything this planet has watching space, it's still very small percentage of the total area. We could be hit by a massive item/asteroid that we never seen coming.

I saw the thread title and simply though "Yo momma so fat" joke.

I think the biggest reason for it not to be (sorry JLives) is that is sped up. Wouldn't they slow down to examine a solar system? OF course they would be alien and think differently than me so, who knows.

My best guess is the giant looking space *bleep* interacted in a slingshot near something that created a slingshot type acceleration......but then again I'm not a fancy academic looking for a bunch of attention.
