I agree with this columnist. At 13 this little girl will be screaming at her mom how much she hates her name.

That being said with all that is in the news these days how did the airline employee think that was okay?

The name parents give to their child, is something between the parents.
Yes, some names choices can cause the child issues as they grow up (other kids can be down right nasty... along with some adults i.e airline employee in this story)

I thought no one else would have the name Enelrad, but actually quite a few do. One can always think up unusual names without picking something too dorky or weird or degrading. Kids do get set up to be bullied. Parents do *bleep* things sometimes for no other reason than giving a such a name would be cool. Can you hear the giggles in kindergarten when class is learning their abcde? Have you ever heard of the name “Ugly”. You can actually find worse. People in North America may not understand that some names describe circumstances or events that occurred around child birth. Some people immigrate to Canada, their last name is “sh*t” and they do get it changed rather than keep it.
