Tornado touched down in Port Orchard Washington
They've had wind warnings along the coast from California to Alaska I think. I guess they meant it.

Storm team wraps up damage survey of Port Orchard tornado
https://komonews.com/news/local/storm-s ... awAlWJprUE
The National Weather Service team will look at the severity and spread of damage to determine where the storm ranks on the Enhanced Fujita Scale. If the storm rates as an EF-2 or larger it will just be the 16th tornado in recorded state history to reach that strength, and just the second ever in December.

Wow, an F-2 in the middle of winter in western Washington! Washington gets few tornado, and typically the occur in the east and in the summer.
Here in BC we haven't had a tornado that strong since July 2003 when one occurred near Quesnel.

I think the article said the last time Washington had one that strong was 1969. Yet another reason to be thankful that the Cascade Mountains are between here and there.

Typically your side of the Cascade Mountains should be the one getting something like this, such that Seattle would be like "thank God for the Cascades protecting us for tornadoes!"
