Prince Philip flips over car with ease. No problemo
I think that if I were 97 I'd be a little injured if not dead.

The Duke of Edinburgh has been involved in a car crash while behind the wheel close to the Sandringham Estate.
Buckingham Palace says Prince Philip was not injured in the collision.
Pictures from the scene show the 97-year-old's Range Rover overturned on the side of the road.

I’ve got stories about Sandringham and the goings on there with those crazy royals.
My cousin did K-9 patrol there for years.
O’l Prince Phil is no angel by any means.

Rolling a vehicle isn't so bad if your seat-belt is on. Late one night on the Coquihala 30 years ago I was driving to Kelowna. A truck in front of me lost a load over the road and I had to sharply swerve to avoid hitting it. Car lost control. I rolled 4 times at highway speeds over the median in to the west bound lane, hit a concrete embankment and rolled back in to a grassy area between the roads. Car was totaled. Round wheels were now square. All the windows blown out. I didn't have a scratch thanks to my trusty seat belt. Of course, I was younger than PP.

I am happy both PP and you are ok after such frightening experience.
Everytime I see a log hauling truck coming toward me my blood freezes. I have read accounts of what can happen when logs come loose. What was it that dumped in front of you, Jlabute?

After the police looked at it... it appeared to be a bunch of camping gear, sleeping bag, tent, tools, that fell from a pick-up truck. Enough junk to block a lane. Wasn't as dramatic as a logging truck :-)

Not as hairscary as load of logs but when stuff starts flying in front of you, at high speed, you have no idea what it is. Rocks, people, animals? Swerve before a rational thought occurs!
I leave lots of space between vehicle in front of me, no tail gater here, but others see that space as an invitation to inhabit.

Oh ya,
Nick1, I'd like to hear some of those stories.
All this brings back the day Mr. QK and I did a Dukes of Hazzard scene on Douglas Lake Road.
And the time in Drumheller when a guy decided to drive with a sheet of plywood on the top of his truck cab.
It sailed forth and missed my car by mere inches.
The guy later said, "I didn't think I had to tie it down, I was taking it to a place close by where I had to pick it up."
Didn't think he had to tie it down?
Didn't think at all.
Thought?

Here I thought there was nothing lower than a snakes belly in a rut in a ditch. I was wrong.

Just last week a few hours west of Edmonton had a logging truck lose a full length log while I was behind him. It hit the highway and slid for quite a ways before sliding into the ditch. Glad I wasn’t closer.....

^^^^unfortunately it has happened. :https://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/two-die-four-hurt-in-bc-logging-truck-crash/article1006794/
Truck was a flat deck with logging bunks attached somehow ( wraps of flagging tape? ). A bunk let go and the load came off as the truck was rounding the west side of the Capilano Bridge in N.Van/W. Van. ( sweeps to the right, logs came off and ended up in the east bound lanes) Large cedar logs if I remember correctly.
Logs falling off a load is really not a common occurrence. Logging trucks wiping out...varies year to year.
In PP's case, let the fellow drive out in the far back country private roads, not general population public roads. Let him have a go in a Challenger tank even.. difficult to roll that after being hit by a car.

A number of years ago I heard about a truck losing a log, went through windshield of oncoming car. Poor peep inside never stood a chance.

“Late into the night, Charlie was often seen *bleep* up the walls, staggering about the garden with his mates”
Phillip was often to be driven to some out buildings in the wee hours, for who knows what.
There was also some nefarious talk of when that guy broke in to the Qeen’s bedroom and sat at the end of her bed, that was at Buckingham Palace though.
Queeny I don’t mind you calling me nick1 rather than 1nick as long as you address bjsilent in the same fashion.

You friends with bjsilent?
Prince Philip is rumoured to be quite shaken by his ordeal.
