^^^ Sleepy Joe should try to distance himself from his son Hunter, rather than publicly support him... how can a father, president or human being stand by a guy that goes after his dead brothers widow, then cheats on her, all the while cheating the gov't of taxes, leaves a laptop at a store (probably cause he's high on drugs at the time) lol.

Biden pushing lower prescription drug costs in midterm press

President Joe Biden is set to highlight his administration’s efforts to lower prescription drug costs on Friday as part of his three-state Western tour this week, as he confronts a sobering inflation report in the waning weeks before midterm elections.

Biden will head to a community college in Irvine, California, to meet with older adults and tout his administration's efforts to reduce inflation and drive down costs. The visit comes on the heels of an announcement that millions of Social Security recipients will get an 8.7% boost in their benefits in 2023, a historic increase but a gain that will be eaten up in part by the rising cost of everyday living.

Despite the president's efforts, inflation is rising, and Republicans are capitalizing on higher prices, seeing openings in California and elsewhere to potentially pick up U.S. House seats. The president will also make his case in Oregon before heading back East as the reliably Democratic governor's race closes with an independent splitting votes.

Consumer prices, excluding volatile food and energy costs, jumped 6.6% in September from a year ago — the fastest pace in four decades. And on a month-to-month basis, such “core” prices soared 0.6% for a second straight time, defying expectations for a slowdown and signaling that the Fed’s multiple rate hikes have yet to ease inflation pressures. Core prices typically provide a clearer picture of underlying price trends.

Biden acknowledged the issue on Thursday, saying that “Americans are squeezed by the cost of living. It’s been true for years, and folks don’t need a report to tell them they’re being squeezed.”

e also returned to a metaphor he used often during his first year in office, talking about issues that Americans talk about around the “kitchen table," touting his administration's efforts to lower costs even as inflation rises.

“From prescription drugs, to health insurance, to energy bills, and so much more,” he said. “We’re standing up for working people and their right to get a raise and get a better job.”

The White House said Biden will also sign an executive order that will direct the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to look for additional ways to lower drug costs.

That's small potatoes compared to what the laptop revealed about the Bidens' use of the vice presidency, though. Can't really distance himself from that.

It's his son. Good lord. Of course he should support him. He's a father before he's a President.

Yup, and he was vice president before he was president.

That's where the focus should be, IMO: not on Hunter's personal life, but on the Bidens' involvements exposed on Hunter's laptop while his father was vice president.

Fox News Blasts Joe Biden for Being a…Loving Father Who Cares About His Son

On Monday evening, at the nine o’clock hour, Fox News’ Sean Hannity aired an explosive story about the president of the United States. It was so deeply shocking and perverse that many people have said they can’t believe it was allowed by network censors, or that they didn’t insist Hannity at least read a disclaimer beforehand like, “We want to warn our viewers about the content we‘re about to air, which we strongly suggest not be watched in the company of children.” Honestly, it was so disturbing that we’re having difficulty recounting it now. But here goes. On Monday, Fox News revealed that President Joe Biden, as in, the man who has access to the nuclear codes…

…loves his son.

Yes. Not only that, but he appears to be compassionate? Devoted? Understanding of the difficulties people face in life and unwilling to turn his back on his child? Can you see why Fox knew they had a blockbuster story on their hands?

The above quote came from a voicemail obtained by the Daily Mail. In the full recording, Biden can be heard adding: “I’m here no matter what you need. No matter what you need. I love you.” In other words, IMPEACH HIM NOW.

“It’s actually sad,” Hannity told his viewers of the message. “Now that voicemail reportedly came at the exact same time Hunter lied on a gun application to buy a handgun.” To be sure, Hunter Biden is under federal investigation, and The Washington Post reported last week that “agents investigating President Biden’s son…have gathered what they believe is sufficient evidence to charge him with tax crimes and a false statement related to a gun purchase. However, as HuffPost notes, there has been “no evidence to suggest Joe Biden was aware of the gun purchase.” And the voicemail in question has nothing to do with that either way.

Hunter Biden has been open about his struggles with drug addiction, which the right has frequently attacked him for. During the first 2020 presidential debate, as Joe Biden was talking about his son Beau, who died of brain cancer 2015, Trump interrupted him to call Hunter a deadbeat. “Hunter got thrown out of the military,” Trump said. “He was thrown out, dishonorably discharged…for cocaine use, and he didn’t have a job until you became vice president.” Biden replied: “My son, like a lot of people, like a lot of people we know at home, had a drug problem. He’s overtaken it. He’s fixed it. He’s worked on it. And I’m proud of him. I’m proud of my son.”

This is the level we're at. These people seem incapable of feeling human emotions. I know Trump treats his kids like staff but not everyone is like that. Some people actually really love their children. I wish they'd have had more of that in their lives and maybe they wouldn't be such soulless ghouls.

Trump isn't the topic, though. :topic:

It's easy to fixate on the emotional aspects of what's on Joe Biden's son's laptop and the impact that has on his family, whether it's to share salacious gossip or calls to show mercy on Joe and have empathy for what he and his family are going through.

What's more important, though, should be what the contents of Joe Biden's son's laptop reveal about access to the vice presidency.

And, of course, what we've learned since about how the FBI was used to propagate lies about the laptop prior to a federal election in which the implicated vice president was running for president.

Joe Biden is featured on his son's laptop.

Folk seem to think it's ok to say Joe Biden deserves public sympathy for the revelations on his son's laptop.

Surely it's also ok, then, to say the public has an interest beyond feeling sympathetic toward their president for what it tells us about what was happening with the vice presidency while Joe Biden was vice president. "Joe Biden discussion" being the topic.

Biden drove 'historically' close Middle East allies into the arms of America's greatest enemies, experts say
Tensions with Saudi Arabia, a longtime American security partner, have increased over the last year

The Biden administration's policy on the Middle East has fractured some of the United States' most dependable partnerships in the region, causing typically friendly countries to build stronger relationships with China and Russia.

"That countries that historically have been close partners of the United States are turning to Russia and China is a massive failure of American leadership," Victoria Coates, a senior research fellow for international affairs and national security at the Heritage Foundation, told Fox News Digital.

Coates' comments come amid a chaotic time for U.S. relations in the Middle East, including a disastrous retreat of American forces from Afghanistan, an on-again, off-again, nuclear negotiation with Iran, and a disconnect with Saudi Arabia over global energy policy.

That disconnect between President Biden and Middle Eastern partners became more evident in March, when leaders from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates declined to field a phone call from the president. Biden had hoped to discuss having the oil-rich countries increase exports amid soaring gas prices in the U.S. and a ban on imports of Russian gas, but was given the silent treatment for his efforts.
