Thank God we recently dodged a bullet and kept these awful, incompetent wingnuts out of power here.

What do you mean? The Liberals along with the NDP have power here in Canada, so no, we didn't keep incompetent wingnuts out of power in Canada, if you mean "here" is Canada. Boris is doing a fantastic job, especially given what evil anti-Semites he has to fight in that horrid wing-nut Labour party over there. Keep up the great work Boris!

Our very own country's state of affairs is an absolute mess right now. Were so finished. No way any political party can correct the situation we are in. We are not being led by conscious reasoning and a large portion of our society has resorted to something else as their means to survival. The movement needed to get Canada moving forward for survival cannot happen. There is something more powerful at work in far to many people's minds.
We could create a whole mental discussion around the need for this forum, but...

Could you elaborate please?
Thank you.

Just saw this now.
Unfortunately you might be asking this for a reason I cannot help with.
And for the reason's you ask me for elaboration of mine and many others beliefs in this countries direction of failure, could also be an issue.
It might be better that you reflect first on your beliefs as to why we are in serious trouble or are very happy with our state of affairs.
No way in this country, with our current political system and expectations can we achieve. No way we can satisfy the massive amounts of victim hoods claims and expectations placed upon us now.
It would require a strong system, strong people to control it and the current level, not a chance.
Would love to see reasoning and support that good things are coming down the road and why.

Aside from being less horrible than the alternatives, it’s hard to see much good about the current government of the UK. Boris was elected to do two things: keep Jeremy Bernard Corbyn out of Number 10 and get Brexit done. In the main though, he’s almost as dangerously misguided and ‘hair brained’ as Trudeau.
