These Generals likely decided that giving in, surrendering would be better somehow. Zelensky gave them the boot, literally likely too. Fight til the end.

And one of the most graphic descriptions of the war so far, BBC really did it this time. Graphic, gory and gripping all in one story.

Maybe check before Russian Tzars, when Ukraine was independent.

Crimea was handed to Ukraine (still a socialistic republic under Soviet Union at that time) by Nikita Khrushchev in 1954. Check your facts.

Their deaths were filmed by a Ukrainian drone on 7 March, operated by the Bugatti unit of Territorial Defence. The unit released the video, which was republished by news organisations around the world. It caused outrage because it showed the cold-blooded killing of a man who had raised his arms to show he was harmless, in the classic gesture of surrender.

Ksjena and Maksim Iowenko were civilians and should have been protected.

Under the laws of war civilians are protected, and when they are killed in defiance of those laws, their deaths amount to war crimes.

What made Zelenskiy militarily butt heads with Russia is beyond comprehension. There is only one outcome whom this, and it’s not pretty for Ukrainian people. They did not deserve this.

If your next door neighbor started putting bulldozers and backhoes on your property line and started telling you not to join the neighborhood watch or he would bulldoze your property and dig holes in it, you gonna sit down with him and tell him ok I won't join neighborhood watch and will give up my seat on the library board just to please you?

That’s a very lame analogy. For more than 8 years the new Ukraine government has been poking Russia in the eye relentlessly. Zelenskiy should have seen it coming.

Until it wasn't. So Petulant Putin invaded in 2014 and took it over for Russia.

I need to know why it was ok for the US to put military bases in every country they supposedly saved - but Russia annexing a region that was under their influence for hundreds of years is criminal? And on top of that, it was fine for the US to annex Guantanimo out of hand for - reasons. We are in a time in which the hypocrisy of the western powers is now being practiced by their adversaries. Who do not fear the west like they used to. Need proof? Putin is using every excuse and play that the west has used in geopolitical and economic interests. Using the same justifications and reasons to the letter. And now that Putin is doing so - it's suddenly war crimes and too odious for the western powers to stomach. I do not support what Russia is doing at all. I just see that pandora's box has been opened by the west - and now suddenly the world wants the genie put back in the bottle because it's Russia. The hypocrisy is insane. If Russia is able to carve up Ukraine - the west won't be able to do anything about it. Because as the west has shown in abundance - history is written by the victors.

Putin sent them all to their deaths. What a disgraceful man. They should have been doing good works in Russia, not out to kill more people. Surely some of you will agree?
