I am setting this up separate from the other discussion forum to provide NEWS and UPDATES on what has now been considered a WAR.
My heart and support goes out to Ukraine and Ukrainians worldwide.

I ask that this thread be limited to news and information ONLY about the war in Ukraine.

If you have comments, please take them to the other pre-existing thread.

I am watching this unfold on 3 TVs 24/7 and there is a strategic method to their actions.

NATO can only protect other NATO countries, Ukraine is not a member of NATO.

NATO has dispatched it's "multi-national rapid response" troops to NATO countries surrounding Ukraine.

NATO partner countries are:
Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Finland, Georgia, Ireland, Kazakhstan, Kyrghyz Republic, Malta, The Republic of Moldova, Russia, Serbia, Sweden, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan.

A Northrop Grumman RQ-4 Global Hawk, flying at 54,900 ft.
No doubt feeding intelligence to the Ukraine army.

Ukraine is showing its heart and courage during this war. I had heard of President Zelenskiy during the impeachment but never realized what a badass he was until now. Under terrible circumstances. This man is 44 years old, has a background in acting and comedy but also a law degree. Tonight he is fighting alongside his people and fighting for his country in a way may we never know. He is the definition of hereos aren't born, they're made.

President Zelensky asked Ukrainian civilian men between the age of 18 and 60 to take up arms against the Russian military.
I would not foresee him leaving his country behind to fight alone.
He is a brave man.
As an aside, I have never wished death on an individual at any time before, until now.

I can't imagine the amount of intelligence equipment on it.

Another American military aerial refueling aircraft.
Not sure who all they're refueling but there appears to be plenty of American military aircraft in the area.
This time it's a KC-10A Extender.
