alanjh595 wrote: Jul 2nd, 2022, 10:56 am Good, now that I have your attention, let's look at a few more where they are not just goofing around.
If your intention was to belittle them (or me), a majority of what I observed from your post is/are training exercises, and civilians watching and filming the events. And as can be seen, many settings clearly show training courses.
Notwithstanding, different country, different culture and harsher environments of which is obvious; not the cushy life (that once was) here in the west.

I also observed they have trained for:
muddy and wet passages | how to navigate those challenges | how to recover | how to camouflage under the snow | learning the limits to which those vehicles can travel | high-speed maneuvers | turning those heavy machines on a dime, and so much more.
Not something one could experience in a Fiat.
That's perspective.

And it would make good sense to show new and upcoming members these scenarios, no matter how crude, so that they can visualize and understand the limits and boundaries.

Unfortunately what's missing in the compilations is the full recovery methods deployed for up-righting tanks, etc.... though sure they exist as would be imperative, and the vids were 'cherry-picked' for specific intentions.

Furthermore, I say good on them, those young men, from any country - anywhere, for having the guts to try, experience and to learn. And that comes with failures too, as we all know.

Intelligent people know how to AVOID confrontation, right?
So, not taking sides, as I have no side, and war is very ugly (and a racket).

Can't join the 'hate club', because I don't know them - and they have as much control over their government as the citizens of any other country has. (none)

Our (yours and mine) perspectives are very much different, and my 'attention' was/is more in-tune with observing the finer details, visualizing, questioning and problem solving.
And in this case, of something you or I will never experience outside our monitors, which I have summarized above.

Have wonderful day! :D

(Maybe this is all) ... for corporations move in and buy up lands penny to the dollar.
I would say they want to depopulate Ukraine - for fun. The cheap land is the icing on the cake.

Could Russia have avoided it? I think Russia was begging USA for years - to stop expanding eastward.
If you look at a map, there's no need for USA military to be sitting in Georgia.

World leaders continue to coward in the corner while Putin kills more civilians in Ukraine. Kill the :swear: hole before he has chance of firing off any nuclear weapons... then everyone’s problem is solved.

Ukraine is doomed. Eastern half goes to Russia, and western to Poland. And they could have had a prosperous country. Instead, their leadership made it a failure. One cannot build a country upon a hatred toward other people. That's exactly what Ukraine nationalist government tried. This is a consequence.

When did Poland invade Ukraine?

Eastern parts of nowadays Ukraine are Polish lands, which they lost to Soviet Union at the end of WW2. They've never given it up. In fact, even Zelensky is considering surrendering Ukraine's sovereignty to Poland to prevent Russians to take it all. Ukraine is beyond saving.

With Lysychansk being cleared out and Lukhansk republic being completely clear of Ukranian forces, will be interesting to see where they move next.

Donetsk? Odessa? Back to Harkiv?

I'm sure Ukranians are asking the same thing wondering where to prop up their forces.

Now is when Nato should welcome Ukraine into the fold and stop Putin.
I thought a country committing repeated war crimes over a period of time was supposed to justify a response, even to bring aid to non-Nato countries. But bringing Ukraine in, would let Putin know they are not going to let him continue his aggressions. Handing him ukraine will only encourage him to take other countries. Does anyone really think Putin will stop on his own before he has all of ukraine?

Are you insinuating that Ukraine is part of NATO and Article 5 can be enacted ? If this was the case, NATO would already be in Ukraine and have kept the Russian :cuss: at their border as Poo-tin, as insane as he is, would realize his ill prepared army would not have a chance of achieving any military victories.
