I doubt it. Finns already learned their lesson for flirting with Nazis in WW2. That's how they lost Murmansk region to Russia (then USSR) in 1940.

That was exactly my point. Soviets back then did NOT invade a NATO member to provoke such a reaction from the US. They just wanted to turn Cuba into a Warsaw Pact member, a stone-throw from the American soil. Exactly what Ukraine is aspiring nowadays.

I think it boils down to one thing, Russian soldiers are no match for Ukraine soldiers, but they are a match for Ukraine civilians.

Nah, much more likely, given everything we've seen so far, Putin's security services and the general protection effort around the bridge, (second only to the Kremlin) is ineffective and incompetent.

Ukrainian special forces operators were likely able to build a 2-ton bomb, load it onto a truck and smuggle it into Russia undetected. Then they passed it off to some unsuspecting Russian dupe, to have him drive it past all the ineffective bomb sniffing equipment and incompetent military personnel that did the physical search.

On this much we agree. Putin is pathetic and all of Russia is vulnerable as long as he is the leader.
