Except that wasn't a protest. It was an insurrection attempt to overthrow a legal election because the GOP can't win with legal voting.

All of the conservative misrepresentations are precisely why Colbert has material. Colbert holding the lies and misinformation of conservatives to account is a benefit to society. Not a scandal. If conservatives stand on principle in regards to the constitution - and then sell those principles for power in league with dummy immediately after - then there is good reason a comedian can't take these people seriously and roasts them.
