Well, this is getting kind of sporty.

I see we did have assets up North today. One of our tankers just started pinging on approach to Cold Lake, out of nowhere, on a straight line from the Canadian NOTAM. He's a long way from home. A new NOTAM just hit the screen 40 mins ago around Havre, Montana. Saw a tanker going that way, but it went dark.

Right now, each of these is sending up tankers, combat sent's, F-16's (Likely F-18's) and F-22"s. Not lighting any fires, but sure burning lots of fuel.

*update* They just pulled the Havre NOTAM, but issued a statement they plan to continue operations in the daylight tomorrow. Whatever they are looking at there must be a high flyer. Well above FL 40 again.

Strange, the US news channels not only state US shot it down, but from order from Biden. No mention of Canadians at all.

Now that could be just the US and how they are the centre of the earth.

Thing is there are apparently some that are, in our opinion, not working with a full bag of marbles and have asperations to impose their way of doing things on others that don't have the same asperations.
China and Taiwan, Russia and Ukraine are a case in point. Unfortunately the aggressors in both cases do have nuclear weapon capability and I suspect if their homeland is ever attacked and the home country is threatened, then the nuclear option is on the table.

Then we throw in the fat little nut-bar with the lousy haircut ( John McCain's words ) in North Korea and we could have an issue.
India and Pakistan ?? Fights over water could lead to an out of control proliferation. India and China ? urinating match in the Hindu-Kush going on. Currently they are battling it out with sticks but both countries are nuclear capable.

If China does attempt to invade Taiwan and Japan and Australia get involved, I bet the fat little guy in North Korea will press a button or two and unilaterally send a missile or two to Japan for starters.

Tense times for the next 4-5 years regarding a chance of a mushroom cloud somewhere in a conflict that really is not necessary.

Now for something completely different.

China is getting ready to shoot down a balloon flying over the coastal city of Rizhoa. Like I said yesterday, this isn't China anymore, and that's probably why there aren't many details being released. The 250 mb Jetstream models would suggest it's coming from North east of China, however, interestingly enough, if the balloon China is dealing with is lower than about 15,000 ft, it could be coming from the northern part of the Korean peninsula. *hint*

I really truly do. For a few centuries now the west has made sure that there is a "do as I say - not as I do mentality". For a couple of centuries, the west has treated the environment terribly. Including testing/using nuclear weapons to create fallout. Now that there are very few 3rd world countries anymore catching up to progress and polluting - we preach at them. Freedom is freedom. What they do in their own countries should be up to them. If they have nukes - so do we - freedom is freedom. If we in the west feel entitled to protect our national, economic and geopolitical interests - freedom is freedom. Other countries can do the same. If we in the west feel entitled to walk into a country and start a war for 20 years with a side order of "Iraq" while we are at it - then other countries should be able to do the same. Freedom is freedom. If we in the west feel that we are entitled to annex Guantanamo - then other countries should be able to annex Crimea if they wish. Freedom is freedom.

We in the west have virtue signalled so much - that other sovereign superpowers simply ignore us. They are doing what they feel is necessary for their own interests. After almost 40 years of progress and tech being able to be hoarded by the west - other powers are catching up and surging ahead. Now a joe-schmo with a supercomputer and a 3d printer can print guns and parts. Or some guy in a dark room can shape the outcome of our elections. The control is gone. It's ironic that the malfeasance we have done around the world is finally returning to us. There was a time when it was the west that propped up a leader in a country far away. Now it's an open game.

The west has eroded truth to such an extent that we watch lies accepted on a daily basis in media. The erosion is so significant - that after decades we have succeeded in eroding currency from a commodity such as gold - into an imaginary bitcoin in the interweb that is farmed electronically. The west has entrenched further and further into castes of haves and have-nots. With the middle of the 2 idolizing and defending oligarchs and billionaires. Actually supporting the direction of the very few in our so-called democracy.

Most recently those of us in the west have ignored the well-being of our neighbours refusing a couple of shots. As such the virtue signalling about neighbours well being is a moot point. The only way that there will be any actual change is for the west to feel the pain and suffering it has caused across the globe for centuries. To be on the receiving end of consequences for a change. Destabilize the status quo and the entrenched ways of doing business and politics. I am pretty confident that as a Canadian I will be relatively unscathed. All the nukes will fall on the United States and Europe. And Canada will be able to move in a do what it does best. Create a middle ground and repair what is broken. We may have to learn Chinese and Russian - but that will be the easy part. Guy Fawkes will finally be able to exact the change he wanted. It will be interesting to see.

LOL, There is a reason why millions of people from other countries do everything possible to come to America annually. Might I suggest you spend a year in North Korea, Communist China, or any third world country of your choosing. That will help you to realize that even with all our BS, its still a preferred place to live.
