Imagine that.

With zero political angle here, this will quickly be forgotten by both sides.
I would like to point out something that no one should forget, and that is to highlight some of the dirty manipulative tricks that the media likes to use and especially some posters here on castanet.

One thing often done is provide a number of incidents of something but not providing a baseline. They might say that there is all these extreme weather events happening, but without providing what is the normal number of extreme weather events, they are just manipulating you into thinking that all these events that happen naturally would not have happened without climate change.

If the media refuses to provide a baseline number, they are lying to you, and you can dismiss everything said in the article.

Another manipulative trick is to tell you something is happening without giving a single example. Remember when Mr Harper was supposedly muzzling scientists. Well Trudeau has been in power for 8 years and not a single muzzled scientist has spoken out, and not a single example has been given that I'm aware of.

If an article doesn't give you an example, you can dismiss everything said in it as complete garbage.

Another popular trick the media loves to use is to give big numbers without giving any per capita data for context. If they tell you that X number of people have died, but they don't give you the number of people per capita, especially when they're comparing Nation to Nation, you can dismiss everything that they're saying since they are displaying anti-science.

Only by the media deliberately taking things out of context do you believe these hoaxes.

Antifa is smart. They know when and how to protest. They also pick good causes.
LOL - "Good causes" - yet another load of crap from those who love apologizing for domestic terrorists. Like the bozos on CNN, who didn't learn from the last round of "mostly peaceful protests" and whose apologist nature got them in trouble when they then hypocritically went nuts about the "mostly peaceful protests" on January 6, 2021 in Washington.

Antifa just plain sucks, they are not "smart", nor do these terrorists pick "good causes". CNN also sucks.
CNN guest suggests word ‘violence’ doesn’t describe Atlanta’s riots

A CNN guest was criticized for arguing that the word “violence” should not be used when describing the, well, violent riots going on in Atlanta.

Author David Peisner was featured on CNN Newsroom on Saturday when he told the news network’s Pamel Brown that the violence in the state was instigated by police.

“I think that there’s a real blurring of the lines in the use of the word ‘violence,’” he said.

“Is property destruction violence? To some people it certainly is,” Peisner added.

“But, you know, this idea that breaking windows or other acts of property destruction are the same as actual violence against humans, it’s kind of a dangerous and slippery concept.”

There's no such thing as gay rights, minority rights, trans rights or women's rights.

There are only individual rights. Either we all have the same rights, or we're just groups of special interests fighting for preferential treatment.
