War in Afghanistan more Disastrous than Vietnam
It has been 17 years since 9/11, yet here we are still mired in a foreign war in the Hindu Kush that's unwinnable. Worse, we are so focused on foreign wars we are losing the war at home we don't even realize we are fighting.
One of the defining characteristics of the last days of the Roman Empire is that it was so focused on foreign wars that it left itself defenseless at home. At least with Vietnam it was merely an embarrassing defeat of American troops overseas, but the response to 9/11 is not only a perplexing ass-whooping abroad, but a quickening of our own demise at home.

Steyn post link well worth watching gman313. Yes, we are in Canada, also another safe haven for terrorists. Remember ISIS returnees?
The Strange Death of Europe expands more on what is happening and how we in the West are losing the war on terrorism. Like Cleopatra, we hold the asp to our breast.

Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice. There’s a certain point at which ignorance becomes malice, at which there is simply no way to become THAT ignorant except deliberately and maliciously.
