I just donated to someone I know will use the money well. I also donate to local school breakfast/lunch programs (more bang for your donation dollar). But I really feel the gov't should be supporting these programs as well. No better place to invest than kids' nutrition.

I was thinking the exact same thing about gofundme and this accident. It is truly the poster child for how gofundme should work and who it is best for. This poor young lady will have years of surgeries and will likely not be able to work for most of her life.

Also, reading the castanet link brought up the horribly unfortunate band name that the driver belonged to.

At least it was caught on video, would be a shame to smear the driver's record for the rest of his life because someone else made a stupid move. Seems a person (pedestrian) would not do that unless under the influence.

People asking for money and donations has been around since time began....

In early 1970, my aunt who lived in the sticks with two weird kids - my dumb cousins - and no running water, which means
no indoor plumbing, decided to test out a theory. If you give money to God, you will become rich.

So she read Luke 21 in the bible and sent every cent she had - $1200 - which must be $5,000 by today's money to a rich guy to handle the money for God.

Now I see another rich guy asking for money on Gofundme - the goal is $50,000.

Wow.

So I've decided to start my own gofundme campaign. As everyone here knows I am still suffering from PPSD - Post Pandemic stress Disorder. I would like $50,000 to buy some good stuff and take a vacation around the world.
When I watched a Redacted video yesterday on Trudeau, I had to go throw up, which shows I am not cured yet.

Either that, or I'm a perfectly normal Canadian.

Please Fund My Vacation. I need some money.

Would never donate to anything on Go Fund me, they bow to government pressure at any little whim.
Sell every contributors info when they can imho.

Would trust give send go before go fund me, and I trust neither.

So good luck with online donation platforms. I look for independent media now to put my donations towards as our free speech is being trampled on.
