I listen to a lot of American podcasts. Between covid, homeless population, and large mass of tax payers moving away California is pretty much done.

Not sure why California's, as well as Oregon and Washington, wildfire status is a social concern.

It definitely is a concern, but our skies looked like that 3 or 4 years ago, and we had plenty of fires burning too. Granted, nothing like theirs at this point but what's stopping it from happening here?
I'm posting this from Traditional lands of the British Empire & the current Lands of The Dominion of Canada.
I also give thanks for this ethos richness bestowed on us via British Colonialism.
